oh...i am sorry that you are feeling that way..im sure that you will be fine...i know it is hard w a husband who works shifts...mine just got off shifts .....hopefully! im sure that you will develop feelings for this baby... i do have to say that i would be devestated in your shoes...i have four kids right now and they are pretty spaced out and it is really difficult some days but i have NO ONE to help me. it sounds like you have a family memeber close so i would try to utilize that as much as possible...best of luck!

Its a natural reaction of shock. We tried for years for number 1, and now am expecting baby #2, and they will be only 15 months apart. I want this baby so so much, but have those same thoughts! Its natural. But you will fall head over heels in love with this baby too! :)

I truely feel for you Hun. Me and my husband were on infertility meds to get pregnant with our son. He now is 1. I too am expecting my second child in 5 weeks! So they will only be 14 months apart. I wasn't too thrilled to be pregnant again when I first found out because my husband travels for work and is gone Monday thru Friday so I basically raise our son and now will be raising him and our daughter all by myself. I think at first it's over whelming and the feelings are fine to have. As I'm happy and can't wait to have my little girl and start my new adventure with her and my son. Don't worry you will love this baby as much as you love the first.
I was 16 when I had my first child on my own and I took care of him all by myself with some help from my mom and grandma, the father ended up in prison and has never really been around. I met my ex husband when I was 17 and fell pregnant again. Well long story short, he wasn't mature enough to take care of his self let alone me. So I went through most of my pregnancy on my own and had the same feeling, I didn't think I would have good feelings about the baby. But she came and I loved her so much. We ended up having 3 little girls together and I have my son. Well I am taking care of them all by myself. Everything is fine, we are all happy. Am now with someone new and expecting #5.

I wouldn't worry too much or feel too bad about how you're feeling. When I first got pregnant, I was so detached from it all and kept asking myself if I was making the right choice. I think after the father took off on me that is when I realized I had to step up and handle it. It took quite awhile for me to bond with the idea and accept it, and sometimes still have my moments, but every time I feel her move I am reminded why I made this choice, and am VERY excited to have my little girl in my arms in May! It'll happen when it's supposed too, and the feelings you have are normal, I think everyone goes through some type of emtoional roller coaster in the beginning stages....good or bad, I know it happens.

Oh sweetie, I know this is hard. But you have been given a special gift. My brother and I are twelve months and 11 days apart - and I have a sister 2 years older than I am. (I'm the middle kid). The good news is, your kids will likely be very close emotionally. My sibs have been two of my best friends my whole life. If it's early in your pregnancy, a lot of the emotions you're feeling can be hormonal - or they can feel worse because of the hormone shifts. This is a normal adjustment period and not anything to feel worried or ashamed about. Rest assured you will come to love this baby as you do your first - and you will learn to deal with the challenges. Women are strong and we are awesome, and this is what we were designed for! There is no limit to how much we can love.
