Just curious to know how many parents are on here that were teen moms and how they coped, I was 16 when i found out i was pregnant, i had my son when i was 17, although it was bloody dificult i raised him on my own with the supourt of my mom, he's just turned 7!! hes the best thing to ever happen to me, es my little mascot n comes everywhee with me, i dont regret being a young mom, its hard but rewarding! not that im condoning getting pregnant, the father told me he waqs infertile n being nieve, i believed him n thats how i fell, was scaired to death but i carried on, i thaught of it like this, iopened my legs im gonna be woman enoug to deal with the consiquences and what good conciquences they turned out to be, im so proud of my little boy, i thaught i would start this thread to find out how other teen momes coped just to put a few minds at ease for moms to be :o) xx

I had my daughter 2 months before I turned 17. My mom was very supportive and I lived at home until my daughter was 4. Almost 3 years ago, I finally moved out on my own and it has been a lot better. Having a healthy support group is very important. Being a single parent at such a young age is not easy, but there is a lot of help out there. My daughter is now 6 and is having a blast in 1st grade. I know I wouldn't have been able to do cope without the support of my family.

I was 11 when I had my son. OMG was it hard my mom was not going to help me with the hard parts. She let me live there My son is 3 and is amazing. I jst gave birth to quads 2 weeks ago and now at 14 I have a better since of what to do. I just make sure I do not have them all on the same feeding schedule.My advice just try to do it with no help from the folks when you get tired or frustrated do it yourself only ask for help when you needed.

i got pregnant at 16 and had my son at 17 and my next babys due in march of 08 so i know its hard but its so worth it when you see them smile for the first time and do all the first things and as they get older they look up to you more and more its very doable just dont give up

i was 15 wheni got pregnant and had my son at 16...my mom was so supportaive..she said she wasnt gunna be one of those parents who neglect and then when the babys comes act like she was fine with it....and i had my husband by myside the whole time...i had so much support..without them i cuooldnt have done it

well thanx for the advice. i'm 17 and 9 weeks pregnant. i'm happy but scared. i really don't live a normal teenage life so i really don't have to give anything up. i'm still with the father. he is 18 almost 19 and in the army. we had a scare last tuesday i started to bleed but its just a really bad urinary tract infection but we r all fine! thanx again and good luck to u and ur lil boy!

My mum had me a 16 and she was fine while she was with my father. I guess anyway. He was 18 at the time and a player. He also turned into a druggy etc.
She had 3 kids to him she is now by herself and has had one other baby and is preg again.
My grandmother was in and out of mental facilities so she didn't have much help. I was also the 1st newborn baby she had ever seen!
She lived with a friend f hers who had a baby not long before her.
I know that sounds bad but that dose happen,
She is doing fine now and she loves her kids to bit and does everything she can for them.
I am now going to be a teen mum and she is there for me 100% because she went through the same and she wants to be there for me for everything that she can!

I am 15 and had twins in June but my mum will only babysit for school. I wish she would help more.

I am really scared and heart broken, I'm 16 and almost 7 months pregnant. I know who the father is but my parents won't let me be with him because they consider him a bad influence, but I love him and I really want him to be involved. Can anyone help by giving advise or just by being friendly?
