Hi all! I know I've read many accounts where this has happened to people but I am just wondering for those who have had to deal with this nasty side effect how long it took for it to go away? I used to have perfect, clear skin with no blemishes then about 4 months into being on Prednisone I started getting acne. It's not like a normal kind either. I hate it :( My doctors gave me a topical ointment but they aren't sure if it will help since it isn't normal acne. I was on Prednisone for a total of 5 months. First my hair started falling out, then moon face, then the acne. My hair is growing back in and my moon face is pretty much almost back to its normal size, so I am praying and hoping that the next thing to go is the acne! It has gotten a lot better but it's just annoyyingggg. Some people say their skin cleared up on prednisone, I don't get it? Any tips? Good luck to anyone out there on this evil drug!!

I fortunately did not get acne. I got the moon face and my hair thinned out too. I did get alot of stretch marks. That really sucked and was a bummer. The marks were on my upper arms and sides of my stomach. I was on the prednisone for 5 months too. I have completely weaned off of it, so I am hoping my hair will go back to normal and the moon face will go down. I had to take the medication for Retinal Vasculitis. What are you taking it for? Good luck and I hope the acne will clear up. What kind of acne is it? Dont let it get you down. You are a beautiful girl and god will not give you more than you can handle. This is just a bump in the road!

I did get the acne and have it now. It is embarassing. I feel like a teenage boy with my hair growth on my face, the achne, football player build. ughh. I can not find anything to help yet. If I do I will write back. good luck. Maybe it has cleared up for you by now, if so then there is hope for me. heehee

My 6mo twin DD's are EBF and just started rice cereal on the first. Everything has been going fine except this morning one of them had a diaper rash (lots of redness around her anus). I read this as one of the signs of an allergy. BUT I did just buy a different brand diaper yesterday (which they have used randomly before w/no issues). Do you think its the cereal or the diaper?
