Well it kind of depends on the person. I've been on and off large doses of prednisone too many times to count so I know for my own body about how long it takes. For me even if I was on high doses of pred. for a very long time I started to go down after about a month off pred. After the month I started to see results quicker and quicker by the week. It can take a couple months for it to COMPLETELY go away but those side effects will be dropping like flies. You're body needs to weed out all the prednisone and unfortunately is doesn't take over night. I couldn't see the changes for a while but this last time I was on prednisone (60mg about 4 months) I took pictures of my face and body to track my progress and I was amazed that I was starting to go down way more than what I felt and noticed.
