Yesterday Heaven, Today Hell ARGH
It's kind of ironic to me what my body is doing to me now instead of my mind. Before my proper diagnosis with severe PTSD I was at first misdiagnosed with bipolar disorder until my docs took a second look when neither lithium nor any other bipolar meds worked for me.
When I found out that I had PTSD instead I was more frightened because my impression of bipolar disorder was that it required less delving into my past hurts. Having a disorder that was "post-" moments in life that hurt meant that treatment for it required that I go back and take a second look at moments I'd tried to avoid. Of course, PTSD flashbacks were taking me back there on their own, so I realized I might as well go back at those traumas and learn whatever lesson might be learned from them and learn how to cope with their consequences for me later in life. That led me here, I'm happy to say, and support here has really helped thanks to y'all.
Now, though, the Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD) I got from a bad psychiatrist's overdosing me with Seroquel for m PTSD nightmares has my body doing the ups and downs my mind was doing that caused that misdiagnosis years ago. My mind's stable, thankfully, as liver-processed Prazosin works for me and my 6 years of combat trauma history the way it was discovered to work with Iraq War vets. Now, though, my other chronic and incurable illness in addition to PTSD, my CKD, has ups and downs that no medication can control. It got to the point that I couldn't work teaching nursing students at my community college any more. I had to retire, which was been a real blessing, but I'm retired because I have to ride out big highs when my kidneys work well and supply my brain and legs with oxygen efficiently, and lows when they don't and I faint or trip and fall.
Yesterday they worked GREAT. I had my first day with no pain in months, and I blissfully enjoyed it knowing to appreciate it for every minute that it lasted. Today I woke up in major pain from CKD and its neuropathy pain it causes me when it doesn't supply enough oxygen to my nerve endings and they protest for being oxygen-deprived. On days like today, because of my kidney damage I can't take pain killers, either, not even aspirin, so I just have to ride the pain out.
On pain-filled days like today I just post that I've got to ration my strength for the day so as to share Daily Strength tomorrow. Fortunately, in the ups and downs of CKD the ups seem not to be over, and so I can hope for another good day soon. Meanwhile, blessings y'all. Catch you tomorrow.

I haven't written in my diary on my computer since May because I thought that my computer was dying. I got away from writing but my computer is hanging in there. I think that I will start writing in it again. It's so therapeutic.

Today (August 8) is INternational Cat Day. Don't click away! International DOG day is August 26! Both were created to raise aweareness and funds for the well-being of critters. We have many such dayts, to the pint that every day is like an old Catholic saints' day calendar: Take your pick!I'm home, obvs, and still ill. Left calf and foot not great after a tangle-fall, but i'll live. Just can't...

You are one that is on my daily prayer list btw, you have always been supportive of me and the least i can do is do the same for you! I can not remember if you are diabetic or not? I finally got on a dexcom 7 my dr fought 6 years to get me a dexcom but this new one thats out has a lot of bugs to work out and is more stress than anything a lot of the time. I am praying my high sugars right now do not cause more damage i am 220 up to 430s right now but i have a dental infection just got antibitoics tonight.
Oh they put my mom on seroquel last week 25mg 3times a day for anxiety. I reminded her the reason i am over weight the way i am is they had me on the top dose of seroquel for a year after i was assulted by my exbf which also caused my first pregnany/miscarriage and it put over 140 pounds on me in a year, i was only slightly overweight before that which was due to my car accidnet at 18 i went on seroquel at 21. She took a few doses and decided shes not taking the risk, shes trying to lose weight as well already 30 to 50 pounds and dr told her even 30 would be a decent weight for her. .
I posted about my eyes and i give God a lot of that creditand my Dad up in heaven! Its a seperate post, i hope that maybe that post and what i wrote gives you hope for help with your health. Things to get better! Always here if you need to talk to someone who has neuropathy and other severe pain issues ( i am very close to giving in and using a wheel chair, i do use an elec cart if i go in a store other than dollar tree but even dollar tree i only go down 3 to 4 aisles sometimse i cant even do that) and i use a wheel chair at the hospital etc I really struggle even with my cane now but i am not giving up hope, i have lost 42 pounds so far, i still want to lose about 80 to 90 before my back surgery to have extra off (was told to lose 100 before surgery for spinal stenosis) They also said the more i lose the safer the surgery. My goal is spring or summer next year for the surgery. I admire you for how much weight you lost and keep at it! You are a very strong person that i look up to!
at 69, the cumulative totals of my broken life seem to be mounting up daily, but i find myself surprised that taking those cumulative totals is still more appealing than the alternative. guess i've lost that suicidal ideation which so permeated my tougher years? i'm learning to revel in those heavenly days deeply enough that i can feel them on the not-so-heavenly days.
life is like a roll of toilet paper. the nearer the end, the faster it goes.
