Saturday, May 14, at 4:18 am a young man who was intoxicated came to our door, we did not open the door but he was irritating us like crazy. He turned the doorknob on our front door and then tried to use another object to come in the door. We asked him what did he want, but he did not say anything; then we said that we were calling the police. He still did not say anything. He just stood outside the door, quiet and staring at the wall. While we were on the phone with a 911 dispatcher, she suggested to us that we should go into a closet until the police arrive. The police department is up the street from us so it only took a few minutes for them to arrive. When the police came to the other door, I was so relieved. He walked to the front door where the young punk was, he opened the door and asked the young man did he know us, I don't know what he said to the police officer. The officer grabbed him by the arm and escorted him out of our building because he did not live there, he lives in one of the apartment buildings next door to us. We were told that the man was intoxicated, he was not going to do anything but he accidentally came to our apartment because he thought it was his apartment building and his apartment. After they left, we saw that the punk peed outside of our door (the floor was wet).
After everything happened and the police came to our home. It bothered us a lot. I was scared because I did not know him, had never seen him before, I thought who would come to my home at that time of the morning, not many people use that door they always come to the other door. I am hoping that I do have to go through such a mess like that again. I used to feel so safe in my home. It was traumatizing to us although the jerk did not come in still it was annoying that he stood outside the door peeing and wanting to come in. His eyes were bloodshot red.

I haven't written in my diary on my computer since May because I thought that my computer was dying. I got away from writing but my computer is hanging in there. I think that I will start writing in it again. It's so therapeutic.

First, I hope everyone is doing well, and continuing to fight that good fight! Keep up the great work on yourselves; I'm rooting for all of you!So, I started doing therapy at the beginning of the year, when I was in my most depressed state, but with my therapist, I made big changes and steps in the right direction. But, over a month ago, she couldn't take my insurance anymore, and I had to stop...
just wondering. . .
arfie, I do not know him nor do I remember seeing this young man. I just knew that I was not going to open the door to see what he wanted. I thought how freaking nasty for him to pee at my door. I feel that if he did that much no telling what he would have done if the door was open. Plus the apartment building I live in only has four apartments, the main door to get into the apartment was supposed to be secure so no one can get into the building at all. He had to have some type of weapon to get into the building. The problem is we do not know what building he lives in and if I did, I would not approach him anyways because I do not know what type of person he is. I just hope the creep does not come back to this apartment. This incident on Saturday the 14th had really scared my mother so much that it landed her in the hospital for two days; it scared me too, but I was happier to see the police officer come and remove him.
Now I do not feel comfortable in my home. I have gone through trauma in my life because of other people then when everything was over, I would witness anger, depression, fear, irritability, and trauma from that night and other times. For example, after what happened that morning, my mom and brother got into it. The argument was about what the jerk was wearing, what he was doing while standing at our door, and the fact he peed. I personally did not care what he was wearing, I was just glad he left the apartment.
that desire to regain my sense of safety is my motivation for investigating further after a frightening incident. typically, in my own herstory, the more detailed investigation has always revealed no serious threat. just people being people. we all do idiotic things sometimes. i sleep better for knowing it is only that and nothing more.
to give myself courage against the possibility that the investigation reveals a clear and present danger, i tell myself it is good to know my enemies. the post-incident investigations have yet to reveal an actual enemy, but the possibility still exists and i like being prepared.
but repeat. . . that is me and every case is unique.
steadying support while you find what is right for you.
