Wow, Friday sucked in class before giving test!

Just in case you think my reply to my thread about testing in my live streaming classes I'm teaching is the usual reply giving thanks for your support, I wish it were but it's not.  Things got worse today, so if you'd go to that thread here I'd appreciate your support again to get through the weekend.  In 8 years here at DS PTSD I've never posted back to back threads asking for support, but that's how bad things are.  I live alone, I'm working from home, I'm not dating anybody, and my offline friends I called on the phone aren't picking up, so I turn to you more than usual here. You are it for me.  Gracias, amigos.

I have learned from a teacher when I was a child to keep trying again and again. In my twenties I learned keep propelling forward and don't stop trying. Muji,encouraging you to do it again, try again this week. See if you can do something different and think what did I did well? Then what did I did that wasn't? And what can I change or try to make it better? But please don't stop trying. You seems to be an awesome teacher but teaching online is new to you but I believe in you. Keep propelling forward though it might seems hard, try and try some more

Thanks, everybody. Whew, it's been a doozy so far. I've been ill today. In a bout of nausea I couldn't make it to a receptacle and ended up barfing in my own shoes--in, not on. Ha! I try to find the humor it such things. But I'm hanging in there thanks to all of you. I'm guest speaker at church tomorrow still, since it's via Zoom from home.

It's Monday now and I just taught a class on death and dying to my community college nursing students via live streaming, and boy did I ever feel disconnected from them. As much as I tried to connect, the technology kept getting in my way when I went to switch from one computer screen to another to show students what I was talking about. It was so lonely and frustrating, let me tell you.

It was my longest day of my weekly teaching schedule and I'm finding teaching 100% live streaming from home to be harder than it was on campus with support staff, so I'll be quick so I can get to bed for tomorrow's next round. You're right on about how this technology was supposed to work, Loo, vs how it really is working out. Geez.

    Once again I've had a fever today. I'm not going to the hospital because that's a huge waste of time but I did schedule a dr appointment for Wednesday afternoon.
