Work treatment work treatment restricting
My brain is really confused right now. Yesterday felt like a wave crashing in slow motion. Sooo much anxiety. And I couldn’t follow conversation in group, so I spoke up and said so. I seem fine when I’m not fine and it’s been hard to follow things lately. G led a discussion on resentments. She lost me when she used fear as an example and we talked about how I’m not really connected with fear. It shows up and I doubt it, or don’t even recognize it. She challenged me to do some homework and I’d like to but maybe when this anxiety lowers.....to go over my life timeline and notice when fear was loud and I didn’t listen and when I didn’t notice fear at all. I went to bed too early because I was depressed. I feel better now but I woke up crazy early and I keep getting my days confused. It’s hard to know what’s a work day vs a therapy day.
ive played positive music and I have been restricting. I'm very hungry at 4am here and that makes me feel happy. Also tired. I'm still eating just not all these starches and sugar. I want to see my cheekbones again. I can't handle this looking so much like my mom. I want to be me again. I also recognize how silly and unrealistic this might be and I don't want to talk about it but I've been honest with the group anyways.
I think the hardest thing is the back and forth between work and treatment. It's hard to know what day it is. Everything moves so fast. But I'm doing okay so far.

I have 3 kids. 24. 17. 15. My 17 yr old has become super defiant. He and his 15 yr old sister have on their own decision stopped going to their dads because he and his household is so toxic. My 15 yr old and myself feel like we have to tip toe around my son who is 17. And physically towers over us and out weighs us. He has become emotionally abusive and on the verge of becoming physically...
I'm trying to do something different to distinguish today from the others, something like going for a drive. With my kidney disease I have a pre-existing condition that makes me a COVID-19 risk and my best friend Deb died of the coronavirus in March, so I stay home or I remain in my car when I go out. It's getting hard to do, though, as time goes by and one day blurs into another.
Glad you're doing OK so far. It's a challenge. You've got my support, that's for sure.
My days tend to blur sometimes too. With my son home every day they all feel like a Saturday. I find myself checking the day on my phone most mornings.
It's great that you're able to speak up in group and let them know when you're not following or when things aren't working. That will really help you long-term. Glad you're doing ok at this point.
Thoughts of support and peace coming your way.
