As for you meeting tomorrow, stick with the facts. Get a copy of the course learning outcomes, the required books and the outline. Take a few deep breaths and picture yourself calmly discussing the issues. See yourself making good solid points based on fact and not emotion. Use the course learning outcomes, to discuss why you are doing what you are. Try to stay away from what the other guys is not doing. Focus on what you are doing and how it compares to the course outlines, learning outcome, required readings etc. Also explain that you are a professor and when asked to teach that is exactly what you are going to do. As a professional you are there to teach, allow the student to gain knowledge and to do it within the guidelines.
You are in the right my friend. These kids have been being short changed by being given A's and sleeping in class. I hope this prof does not have tenure! In my opinion in some, tenure invites this kind of behavior. Why teach, when you have tenure.
