Keeping track of things-this happened after the incident I mentioned in the last post.
After the the exam,me and my friends(I suppose I can call them) came to hostel. My roommate and a guy living across the hall were there when I entered the room. The other guy was trying to take swing at me(in a humurous way) and I defended myself.Since it was supposed to be funny I said him "I am the one who posses real power and all your muscles could do nothing against me"-As pals do.
But I don't know what happened to that guy,he became furious and starting beating me.He put his arm around my neck pulling it over and over again-very tightly. My roommate was just standing there and laughing.I was choking and I told him "Why are you doing this? Whatever happens I will do you no harm."But the problem was he was not stopping. His arms around my neck became more and more tight.I didn't know what to do without doing serious harm to him.But afterall I managed to jump with legs over him to the other side to that the choking was stopped. It was over now.
Now, the other guy started laughing and said "You should not said all about power".
Then he left.I knew that I should not be angry.Because it causes pain meantally, avoiding by listening to songs. There is a thing with me-I cry when I am angry(It means I was hurt).
I cried, but avoided any further crisis.Things between me and that other guy became normal within a day.
But here is something-Day before yesterday after I after the incident I sleept 12 hours straight.I had lot of horrifying dreams.Yesterday night I also had bad dreams.
Any insights are welcome.

Hello- I am new to the group

Jay's podcasts are really good. I watch them on YouTube for free. Today, I watched his video about motivation. In fact, I've been watching a few videos on this subject. Jay gave us an assignment to complete the following sentence: I am stuck because? I don't describe myself as stuck, but to finish the sentence, I would say that I am stuck because I am tired. When I have energy, I do...
When I get caught in somebody else's illogical responses, I try to keep the focus on my own healing. Knowing why I got punched doesn't heal the split lip. Kudos on keeping your own reactions in check. Healing hopes for your recovery from the shock of it.
Healing hopes for the other guy, as well.
Just my guesses - I am not in a position to know the actual facts.
