...I suddenly found myself angry and "arguing with the newspaper". Something I read made me mad and triggered something, but I can't say what it was. I re-read the page I was reading and couldn't find what was triggering.
Then I isolated for the rest of the day and ended up having a panic attack. Not sure what's wrong. I'm glad the day is almost over.

I haven't written in my diary on my computer since May because I thought that my computer was dying. I got away from writing but my computer is hanging in there. I think that I will start writing in it again. It's so therapeutic.

First, I hope everyone is doing well, and continuing to fight that good fight! Keep up the great work on yourselves; I'm rooting for all of you!So, I started doing therapy at the beginning of the year, when I was in my most depressed state, but with my therapist, I made big changes and steps in the right direction. But, over a month ago, she couldn't take my insurance anymore, and I had to stop...
I slept and hopefully today's a new day :-)
In the past 3-5 years I kind of know when one is coming and either take some medication or take a nap. I just wish I could describe the actual feeling, but I can't.
Same with anxiety or panic attacks, but my medication really helps to keep that under control.
Hope today is a better day than yesterday.
I know reading or hearing about crimes or tragedies committed by pathologically disordered people (the crimes where the perpetrator has no value whatsoever for the victim's life) is a trigger. I avoid newspapers and news and try to stop conversations where someone is trying to tell me about it.
And, also, I can sense being triggered and sometimes I do not even worry about what the trigger is - but I will sense the frantic, flight feeling inside and that's why I don't go anywhere without a supplement, rhodiola. It is an adaptogen and everyone I've shared with that tried it, too, has had the same amazing results with that panic, anxiety, flight feeling. It works way better than xanax for me - because for xanax to work, the amount I have to take to take the edge off of the anxiety is the amount that will also make me have to sleep.
