A Positive story

So you think you are a loser because you don't have a "job" to go to and/or your on government assistance.

You couldn't be further from the truth.

You are a very valuable financial resource to the government. Let me lay it out for you.

First off you get paid less than minimum wage for the job you have. What is that job you ask? I have titled it "JOB CREATOR ASSISTANCE". How does that job work you ask?

It works like this:
Your dysfunction creates other jobs. Such as a caseworker, machine repair man (to fix the check printing press), doctor, shrink, nurses, politicians, physiotherapist, counselors, and delivery services. The list of jobs you create is near endless. Other people make their living because of your existence and suffering.

Of course some of these job would be there regardless of you, but you increase the numbers need for those jobs.

So how does that make you a very valuable financial resource to the government? It simple. All those jobs means income taxes and other taxes on stuff people buy because they have those jobs and spend more money. You are a huge tax grab for the government.
You need to realize just how valuable you really are and walk proud with your head up high.

Hey, I have a job, and get government help to pay for meds!

Think of all the bureaucrats I'm keeping housed and fed...:p

That's a good way of looking at it lol. It's like how if people never got sick we wouldn't need doctors, nurses, chemists to make meds, ect... If we never needed to travel, look at how many mechanics and such would lose work. Looking at it like that works for everything really.

Everyone needs something and creates a job for someone else. I have two jobs, but like hylierandom I have help for my medicine because it is too expensive.

I am always better when I am working. Yes, personally I do feel like a loser because I cannot hold a job. this job, lasted 2 months, my previous 7 months, the one before that 7 months. I have been let go twice this year a lone. Yes, I do feel like a loser. I have spent so much money (everything I have) to get well. I have paid for all my own counselling and put my through school to get a diploma. I am working so hard to get back to a point of being able to work. I have failed, I have wasted my time and money. The results have been, I still cannot hold a job, and worse yet I have just learned the diploma in purchasing is worthless because PTSD has stolen my ability to focus and concentrate or pay attention to detail. I cannot do the job. Huge was of my money. This was my 1 opportunity and I blew it....I choose the wrong career path. I am out of options, money and I cannot hold job. what the hell do I do now. I am such a loser. I am so embarrassed my boss came to me and said it was not working out. I am so sorry I have let my family down again, and again. I am so sorry I have let myself down. I am so afraid I cannot work and more, I am always so much better when I am working and I can see that fading away.

CC, that's a lot of depressed negative thinking! I know you're really bummed out because you failed to do what you wanted to do, and maybe what other people expected, but.. hold on, take a deep breath, and keep putting one foot in front of the other.

I got disappointed like that when I got out of high school and tried to go on with my chosen career and couldn't. There are a lot of people who made false starts but that it turned out later these were only detours on the way to what you are truly called to be and do. My life has been one detour after another, but now I see, looking back. the old tapestry story... when you look at a beautiful tapestry from the back it is a mess of a bunch or loose threads,, but on the reverse side we can see how all that mess on the back went into making the result of a beautiful tapestry.
Chin up.. foot forward.. it's going to work out alright. So this wasn't the job for you,, no need to go on a negative diatribe.

brainover... lol that's one way of looking at it.. and it's sure true that a bunch of people make good money off of our needs.
