Thanks, Presh. I'm getting better physically, but I'm getting cabin fever. I'm cooped up all alone in my apartment being sick with this @%$# kidney infection. Yes, I'm taking my antibiotics like a good boy and getting all the bed rest I'm supposed to get. Getting buggy, but with chronic kidney disease permanently dogging me I get these kidney infections over and over if I push myself. Got to stay in.

Alone and feverish and kind of ticked off here, too, I must say. I was a good hospital chaplain, but I am NOT NOT NOT a good patient. Hate it. Just had to vent. Hate being sick over and over with this kidney thing on top of PTSD and diabetes now, too. Did I say @#%!%#@&?

Good comedy on YouTube or netflcks? I find early Louis CK a distraction. Do you have any favorites?

Muji, I'm sorry to hear what you're going through now and for what you have been through because of this, and I was going to tell you something, about myself, in concerning some of this and I have not gone and read through this (yet) but I will when I'm a little bit stronger.

Without my knowledge, going back to 2010, my primary doctor had been checking my kidney function, as well as liver, ever since 2010 and I know this only because I'd run across a couple of my lab results ,which my docs always mail to me, within the last week.

So I might be in the same predicament as you someday. Being sick is not fun at all. I have been on Seroquel probably ever since the 90's and my new psychiatrist had taken me off it completely as of (? idk) months ago; While I had been in the psychiatric hospital, right before my heart went all crazy, the doctor there had put me on two separate, and very strong anti - psychotic drugs, and I found all of this out via my new psychiatrist while I was in bed in the cardiac hospital when he made a trip there to see me. (before I even knew him and started doctoring with him.)

Glad your doc was checking your kidney/liver levels. Thanks so much for your prayers. Day 3 of kidney infection recovery now. It's good to have your support in this.

Thanks, itasca. Being halfway through the course of antibiotics for this kidney infection, now I'm thinking about ways to avoid them. I had one last November, too. I see my doctor on Wed. so I'll ask him if this has to be this frequently chronic, if this is par for the course for kidney failure with Chronic Kidney Disease.

I had the night sweats from being feverish, but less so. 3 more days of the antibiotics. It's true neuropathy is a side effect of the antibiotics, just like the label said. I could barely stand to put my feet on the floor to walk. But I don't have to walk anywhere, thankfully. Tomorrow I have my doc appointment and I have to then.

I'm so sorry, my friend. I didn't know we had a common enemy: Seroquel. Most horrible drug on the market. Almost killed me, fried my brain, hurt my liver. But my kidneys are okay. Every doctor who gives out these meniacal pills should have to take one first, to see the effects of what they are doing. Big hug to you. Sending healing for your poor kidneys.

Hey, Milla, great to see you here! It's been a while.

Sorry you had an ordeal with Seroquel, too. I was dumb enough to let a psychiatrist recommended by family friends put me on a clinical trial of high dosages of it. I signed waivers so there's no legal recourse now. It was not good.

Still housebound, but getting better about it. I go to the doctor tomorrow, so really today was my last housebound day. I guess knowing that made me stop being so restless. Hope you're well!
