What Other People Think is the strongest worry in my social anxiety. It be one mean buger bear. Somewhere along the way, one of my peer supporters challenged me to test my accuracy in my guesses of what other people think. Yeah, right. . . Like nobody ever lies about what they are REALLY thinking, if they don't attack you for asking in the first place.
Neither my research skills, nor my brass ovaries have risen to the challenge to any substantial degree, but it got me chewing beyond my usual, "Those who mind don't matter. Those who matter don't mind." Those rare times I have been able to test my guesses without embarassing myself indicated I don't read minds so well. I suspect I am wrong more often than I am right when I think I know what other people are thinking.
Thoughts? Don't make me guess now. . .

I'm feeling down,, and got alot on my mind right now. I got grief going on, on top my depression and anxiety and now I got to worry about somewhere to live since I can't afford living here since my mom passed. So many bad things have happened since my mom passed. One thing after another it seems. Yesterday our fence fell from a storm that hit, had to call someone to prop it up. Thank...
When it comes to people I don't know ... I don't need their approval so it doesn't really matter to me in a sense.... I wouldn't try to offend anyone intentionally though
Gotta love brass ovaries!!... I think I have some of those.....
I do agree though that we see things from our perspective and sometimes we're right and I'm sure sometimes wrong........ If I am feeling more fragile I may be hurt easier
Are you okay sweetie?.... Big hug.....xo
Predictably enough, my social anxiety is a-ticking. Think I am navigating it well enough, but taking extra measures, just in case.
Yea, ET, you might hit the median reaction from the people I did ask. Can you believe it? You have a Normal Spot!!!
That's a lifetime's job for a person in this world. It's hard to do. That's why a lot of people give up on it and lose themselves in others in codependency, in drugs and booze, in becoming workaholics, lots of ways of escape.
Having realized that has made me read more biographies lately, to see how other people have done it.
((My thoughts usually aren't all that profound. And if I look annoyed, it just might mean that I'm out of flour and need to go buy more... My thoughts about you, are waaay behind that fresh bread sitting on my counter.))
Hugs, was it what you thought?
Let the dream motivate. Let reality dictate.
Area 51? Would that be the one in Nevada? Feel like I'm missing something.
For sure I was having a hard time picturing you as one of those geeks who believe they myth of Area 51.
But when I think about you I smile because I like you a lot. You are courageous, kind, generous, smart, helpful, funny, talented and inspirational. (((Hugs)))
Blushing furiously, Ashley. . . . YOU TAKE THAT BA. . . er. . . um. . . Thank you.
