My aunt is absolutely without a doubt insane. I don’t think hitting your child is the answer if they talk back or spit on you, yes you might be a little pissed off but it definitely doesn’t call for physical abuse. My cousin spit on her and called her names but that doesn’t mean you take him for a ride in the forest to beat the living shit out of him. That poor kid came back with a broken nose and his shirt was completely ruined with holes and rips in it.
He ended up with bruises and a broken nose because my aunt couldn’t control her anger, then told my grandma that she was going to take him to a mental hospital so “HE’D LEARN TO LISTEN FOR ONCE!!” But in my opinion, I think that the mental hospital would question her ability to parent correctly, how to control her kids, and once she’s gone they’d probably call child protective services (Or at least that’s what I would do).
But then it gets better, the house they’re living in has no furniture electricity or AC/Heat and there’s snow on the ground. They could go back to their dad but he’s just as bad except he at least isn’t greedy and pays the bills, plus she has a trust fund that has 3 million dollars in it but my aunt doesn’t care cause she just leave the kids at “home” with my grandma and takes a “vacation” to a fancy hotel without them.
I dont know why my grandma puts herself in this situation because if it we’re me I would have planted her face into a wall by now.

I haven't written in my diary on my computer since May because I thought that my computer was dying. I got away from writing but my computer is hanging in there. I think that I will start writing in it again. It's so therapeutic.

First, I hope everyone is doing well, and continuing to fight that good fight! Keep up the great work on yourselves; I'm rooting for all of you!So, I started doing therapy at the beginning of the year, when I was in my most depressed state, but with my therapist, I made big changes and steps in the right direction. But, over a month ago, she couldn't take my insurance anymore, and I had to stop...
Personally, I am grateful to hear you have a grandmother who can intervene without going quid pro quo on the insane behavior. I am striving to be such a grandmother, myself. The violent quid pro quo would be much easier, especially for this combat trained veteran. I remind myself often that being right is often far from helpful. Rocks of rightness in a cesspool only splash up lots of shit.
I have tried reporting this 5-9 times already but they “haven’t found anything wrong”.
