I was at a 4th of July event and I got triggered twice the weirdest one was that there was this guy that looked like my psycho ex husband except for the tatoos all over his face that says hellbound. He is in prison for life but while I am looking at this guy a chill goes through my body and I see this tatoo show on this guys face thats not there. I had to breathe for a couple of hours my mind was confused with hundreds of people around me. I dont think anyone noticed because I try not to show fear in public. Has this happened to anyone else before?

You're healing, and what you can do is add a soft touch to the picture. When I see someone that used to make me so afraid to move, I use a picture of a dog sitting or standing or walking next to me to help me know I'm not alone around this person, and that reduces the reaction.

Once when I oldest was a baby, I had her diaper off because she had a rash that I wanted to get air. I just glanced down for a second and then looked back again, I was sure I saw that her genitals were bloody. I grabbed her and ran to the pediatrician. The doctor checked her out and said not a thing was wrong with her and there was no blood, no damage, perfectly healthy baby. She looked at me and asked it there was something I wanted to talk about. So what really really scares us can visualize right before out eyes. People think it's crazy but it's just horrible fear. It's part of having PTSD. You're not alone.

    My therapist really knocked some sense into me last Friday about my spending.  She said that there are needs and there are wants.  She said that there is always going to be cheap stuff to buy, but do I need it?  The answer is mostly "no".  So today, I am taking back some things that I bought online at Kohl's, namely a 9 x 12 rug and a quilt for my bed.  I also bought sheets that I don't need...
