So it is my time of the week - time to see the PDoc. My last one was a retired Naval Officer, he had this bushy beard of blue-ish black and white. His office was no bigger than a phone booth and for him to face me, we had to sit in a chair blocking the only exit. Given my PTSD this always made me nervous. But he would hide behind his clipboard and he always looked like a beached walrus talking to me. It became a code for my wife and me to talk about his appointments on the phone. So I still use the name... the Walrus
So what today shall we talk about? Of shoes, and ships and sealing wax, of cabbages and kings.
I need to talk about have six mania episodes in the past twelve months. I fear the next cycle each time. The fantastic high and then the depression that is soul killing, my current depression is such that I can't make it out my bed or room one in three days. He wants to electrocute my white butt and I am considering letting him (ECT). My company still doesn't have its clearances straighten so I have to work from home (I work in an classified space). And i can work from a hospital bed as I have done it before.
I always feel so pressured to leave quickly. He is usually about 90 min - 3 hours behind and I feel guilty seeking to him for more than a few minutes because of everyone else waiting. I wish I could come and go without seeing the anxious waiting faces of so many other patients.

Just wanted to give a thank you to Mid, Arfie, Malibumark, Greeneyes, Mlro, Girlincalif, and Suncloudjd! You all always have such helpful tips and advice, but I always forget to write on my posts when I see you post, lol. I would lose my head if it wasn't attached to my body, lol. Thank you all so much! I'm starting to use my AI app as a sounding board again. I used to use it as that before...

Hey all, i know its been quite awhile since i posted on here. Its been a summer all right. Its been something else........... You know how they say not to open the can of worms? Well a few months ago i decided to find out what my due date would have been for my first baby, the one conceived by r***. My baby would have been due on March 4th of 2006. They would be 20 years old. I was R**** on June...

My first steady therapy program was while I was on active duty, from 1974 to 76. My first shrink was a M*A*S*H psychiatrist who had served bunches of tours in Viet Nam and was waiting to finish his retirement tour. Combat PTSD was still being called, "Shell Shock" and he was rabble rousing on a pet theory he was calling, "Civilian Shell Shock." His rabble rousing was so rowdy than nobody dared challenge him when he declared me "A victim of the other undeclared war on the city streets of the U.S. and put me in with his support group for his traditional shell shock patients. He was physically similar and attitudinally a dead ringer for the Donald Sutherland portrayal of Hawkeye from the movie version of M*A*S*H. To this day, I call my more effective therapists, "Hawkeye."
One of my VA counselors had one of those closet sized offices. I couldn't handle it. We walked hallways and VA grounds during our sessions. Thank you, Hillary. Is it weird that I can hide in a suitcase by myself for as long as needed, but share a small space with another human? Not gonna happen. No, I never did call Hillary, "Hawkeye" to her face, but I bet I did in my therapy journal. I doubt she would have minded, but her petite beauty would have made it seem a bit ludicrous. Emphasis on petite. I mighta been able to fit this gal in my coat pocket. I mighta needed an 18 wheeler to carry her big heart.
