not talking about hallucinations per se, but visions with a spiritual significance.
Summer '14: I had a heat hallucination driving the rickshaw in 100 degree weather. I saw my coworker (we'd had a flirtation) in his valet outfit for his other job, but I saw him with a beard. I looked again, he was clean shaven. We talked a little and I knew I should take a break.
September '15: I went to two more dance parties after being kicked in the vagina, in shock and disbelief that I'd been assaulted there and some kind of cathartic dealing with my incest victim issues. The last time I saw the dance teacher, from across the giant ballroom floor, he'd grown a beard like I saw in my vision. Felt chilled.
At church recently, a man with a beard stood in the back to comfort his fussy baby. I watched them for a minute from our choir loft, and suddenly felt how safe and loved the baby was. Like waves of positivity. Maybe God wants to comfort me??
I don't know if any of you believe like I do, just sharing. Thanks!

I haven't written in my diary on my computer since May because I thought that my computer was dying. I got away from writing but my computer is hanging in there. I think that I will start writing in it again. It's so therapeutic.

First, I hope everyone is doing well, and continuing to fight that good fight! Keep up the great work on yourselves; I'm rooting for all of you!So, I started doing therapy at the beginning of the year, when I was in my most depressed state, but with my therapist, I made big changes and steps in the right direction. But, over a month ago, she couldn't take my insurance anymore, and I had to stop...
I am clueless to whether it is the same experience you are sharing here, but I am grateful you gave me the opportunity to speak of my own. In my own experience, it is hard to speak of them without triggering dogma debates.
We'll just leave it open. I know our brains are always trying to make sense of things.
When I got to Montevideo from the airport, I opened the door of my cab by my hotel. As soon as I opened the door, I saw the sidewalk. The sidewalks of Montevideo downtown aren't made of concrete slabs. They're made of heavy tiles, when is dumb because invariably they crack.
My first glimpse of Montevideo proper, then, was opening that cab's door and seeing broken sidewalk tiles I learned to ride a bike on when I was a kid. Suddenly, I had positive flashbacks of riding a bike on broken sidewalk tiles just like those when I was a kid. Positive flashbacks of playing.
That was worth the whole trip. I did my exposure therapy after that, too.
I think we can get flashes from our brains that comfort and encourage us.
