Victim Hood - RW (Ramble Warning)

arfie
Should I embrace the "Victim" label? It was suggested at my very first therapy session in May of 1972. It is, without question, the most recurring question in the 43 years of recovery work since, in rapid cycling Psychiatric terminology, of course. I allow myself the right to make whatever translations I need to accomplish continuity in my healing path. The linguistic evolution from "White Trash Whore" to "cPTSD" has been at least as colorful as the whispers of Junior High School students feeling their first biological imperatives toward the gender(s) of their natural, adult inclination. The need to process the memories fully has reached me at a Faith level. The need to allow myself to honestly feel the resulting emotions, as well.
Victim?
I reveled in the power I had over grown-ups of both genders when I started using my prematurely developed sexual gifts. I understood that power instinctively and still believe that denying that understanding is like letting a 2 year old pretend a live nuclear warhead is an e-toy. I was the hottest totty on the child pornography set. Shirley Temple in a g-string. My mutism only made me sexier in the Happy Days circles. Okay, okay. . . A responsible parent would have taken that warhead away from their toddler and locked it in a remote location instead of using it to pay rent. The long-term consequences were, indeed, devastating and far from sustainable. Far more than even the most culturally aware Ivy League prodigy can understand, much less a disposable child.
Role playing is one of the therapy tools which has grown large (health benefits still under review) place in my strictly personal tool box. The beaten crazy bitch wolf is the persona in which I find myself most able to see myself as a victim. Don't ask me to roll over and expose my belly in this persona. A wounded wolf is a dangerous animal to the very last breath. Wolves mate for life and bond deeply with their off-spring. A natural wolf pack is essentially what sociologists call, "A nuclear family." You don't want to mess with my pack, no matter how angry I am with any given member(s) at the moment. When I play with pagan theology, I feel the wolf as my earth spirit. I sure do hate allot of the human folklore about my earth spirit. Extremely misleading. . . Especially the ones about wolf sexuality. Keep your metaphors off of my nature!!! Remaining teeth exposed in opinionated clarity. . . Thinning grey hackles in matching formation. . .
But that is role-playing. Emphasis on, "Playing." DID is nowhere to be found in my psycho baggage car. All my "dids" are typed in lower-case.
When I play my human Grammy role, there is not a fiber of my being which can embrace a beaten crazy bitch wolf in the nursery. Get ye back to nature, bitch! Stay there for however long it takes to remember your human nature.
Time goes on. My senior teats keep me well-protected from the 21st century predators who "loved" their Shirley Temple in a g-string. I revel in that protection. For my hyper-vigilant conditioning, my wrinkles are a true and great blessing. Best prophylactic ever!! Don't youthenize me! I like being old, aches and all!! Sincerely.
Here in the 21st century, the roles which make me feel most victimized are, "Mother" and "Mother-in-law." Both roles make me feel like the Toxic People Landfill is the only proper place for me. I feel far more stereotyped in those roles than I remember being stereotyped as a "White Trash Whore." Bad GIRLS get to go some incredibly neat places. A gilded cage seems to be the best human culture can offer on old mother. Is there a culture on the planet which has good things to say about the Mother-in-law?
Victimized like an old beaten crazy bitch wolf?
Sorting. . . Feeling pretty strong today. I am half-way to my wolf mate's side. He has already put the wine bottle on ice. The gang blamers have respectfully asked to borrow his truck so they can begin moving their precious thing piles out of our living space today.
Thoughts and reality checks respectfully requested.

Just wanted to give a thank you to Mid, Arfie, Malibumark, Greeneyes, Mlro, Girlincalif, and Suncloudjd! You all always have such helpful tips and advice, but I always forget to write on my posts when I see you post, lol. I would lose my head if it wasn't attached to my body, lol. Thank you all so much! I'm starting to use my AI app as a sounding board again. I used to use it as that before...

Hey all, i know its been quite awhile since i posted on here. Its been a summer all right. Its been something else........... You know how they say not to open the can of worms? Well a few months ago i decided to find out what my due date would have been for my first baby, the one conceived by r***. My baby would have been due on March 4th of 2006. They would be 20 years old. I was R**** on June...

...much as I really appreciate my own mom putting up with my semi-insolvent butt, I don't feel entitled to that?
More grateful, guilty, and really afraid that she'll boot me? Also aware I need to fix this?
My mom worked for her money. She earned it. after divorcing my dad, she scrimped, saved, and is now in partial retirement.
Her money and help isn't something I am entitled to as an adult. I'm lucky.
A lot of my friends have wound up having to couch-surf. I once saw a former supervisor...panhandling on the side of the road. My guy has spent some stints on the street. It's a tough world. I'm lucky.
...I am getting that your kids act entitled, and that is not, not not ok. It's your money. You made it. You CAN give it, but they have no right to demand help.
The kids are not getting their crap together at all, are they? Instead they are lashing out at you. And taking your money?
...Um... No.
Blasting your supporters like your kids have done? This is never a good idea, no matter in work or family.
Don't wanna project my values onto your mother, but. . . The clues sure tempt me. . .
Argh. I am learning this as I type, considering my weird Mama Drama. ... That after a life of hard work on her part, now that I've given her money help (a sweetheart deal on living space and free food and free utilities and free new appliances and laptops and TVs and so on for the asking).... she now decides that I require no funds for myself, but she "deserves' them all and can be as demanding yet distant as she wants all at the same moment. I set myself up, I know that, but I'm not sure how much is me and how much is her anymore.
I wanted to show her respect and gratitude and generosity for the hard work she did to keep me fed and housed and clothed as a kid. My dad didn't make that easy.
Now she's treating me like a cross between an ATM and emotional punching bag, and where she used to be glad I was able to help, now she's angry I don't help more and yet, stay out of her way simultaneously. (?!) In my house. Ummm... What?
If I could figure it all out, I would, but as far as I can tell, this lioness knows if you f*ck with my family? There are consequences. But if the family turns on itself? I'm at a loss. "Bad Daughter" is suddenly back to being one of my titles. "Bad Person". ...
The spin of all this leaves me dizzy. But I'll tell you one thing, Arfie. My mate (who is oddly, for a lioness, a grizzly bear).... is the one who gives me what sense of family that makes me safe. I hope you and yours are the same:-)
i like Nanny Ogg as a grandmotherly sort of figure...

Her advanced age doesn't stop her from doing...anything at all, as far as anyone can tell...
Sadly, I am most often compared to Granny Weatherwax. (Ouch.)
