I posted a thread last week about PTSD and taking sick days or not.
Turns out, because of the support I got here, I went to the doctor.
The doctor found I was developing pneumonia. Long story, but
with C-PTSD I have trouble gauging how sick I feel and how sick I dont feel. Im also shy about claiming my right to sick days.
My boss was cool with me taking days off and that it wasnt PTSD, it was
germs like anybody else. Big step for me at work. --Muji

I haven't written in my diary on my computer since May because I thought that my computer was dying. I got away from writing but my computer is hanging in there. I think that I will start writing in it again. It's so therapeutic.

First, I hope everyone is doing well, and continuing to fight that good fight! Keep up the great work on yourselves; I'm rooting for all of you!So, I started doing therapy at the beginning of the year, when I was in my most depressed state, but with my therapist, I made big changes and steps in the right direction. But, over a month ago, she couldn't take my insurance anymore, and I had to stop...
I have found it is in my best interest to keep some things out of work...and I work in human service so they aren't as judgmental as other professions.
I agree with what someone said on your other post. Get a doctor's note.
Please take the time you need to heal. Sending you good thoughts for health!
I can't help wondering, though: I presume -- with your kidney function -- antibiotics aren't a wonderful thing, but that the risk:reward equation means you need to take them ??
Feel better ... real soon. Y'hear ? ;-)
Thankfully, we have email and you can post assignments so you don't have to worry about your students.
I guess many of us have high tolerances for pain. I guess all the BS we endured makes us feel like strep or pneumonia or whatever else is a walk in the park.
I've had broken bones before that have knit back together without me going to the doctor. Why did I go? Because of the haunting voice in my head of my dad calling me a candy ass. Nice.
Rest up and feel better soon!
Only on a PTSD board... o.0
heal well, muji.
Neck was a tiny bit weird today. I bet it's psychosomatic. That, or my scarf's too tight.
: P
Deli, this thing with the neck, keep us posted.
Interesting how extra germs aren't just in my school district.
Now for the weekend and the miracle of antibiotics to do their thing.
Thanks for the support, everybody. Much appreciated.
