trigger.? Am I a substance abuser??
I don't know and I don't want to overreact, but something popped into my head lastnight when I woke up and headed to the bathroom, that perhaps I might be a drug or substance abuser. I stayed in a hospital a couple of years ago to detox from benzos...that is long behind me now and I forgot about it...but
I was feeling quite stressed yesterday. My problem is primarily an emotional problem above anything else. But I got so anxious and worked up nothing could calm me down. I am in the process of trying to switch from psychiatric Rx and am using medicinal weed...but I was tossing and turning. Smoking didn't help. Two hours later I woke up and went in the bathroom to do what I used to to. I picked up the bottle of benzos, but was already intoxicated from not processing weed. I spilled the bottle inadvertendly in the sink and was stumbling to pick up all of the pills because they were getting drowned in the water...but I was so out of it I could hardly stand. I almost tripped. In the middle of this it was dawning on me that I am struggling to even stand up and get coordinated, and I'm desperately picking up all of these pills that are scattering. I should not be taking both at once and I had to ask myself while I was half asleep, "what the hell is wrong with you, what are you doing?"

I did the dumbest thing today. I charged my earbuds, unplugged the block and put the block in my little bag instead of the earbuds. I wasn't happy about that when I got to the gym. What a dummy!

Ever since I stopped doing therapy because of insurance, I've been feeling that old tense and irritable sense of anxiety and stress. I hate that. I was making so many strides and changes during therapy, my therapist would acknowledge all of my progress and accomplishments, and I miss that reassurance. Today I thought about it, and I made those changes! She would always tell me that I chose to...
How are you holding up today?
you will most likely want to slowly work your way off of the medication(s) as you slowly add mj to help you a little at a time. these psychiatric medications are not to be stopped all of a sudded - i think that is why you are having these frightening thoughts and feelings. i'm so sorry you are feeling this way.
will you call your dr and see if you can get set up on a lowered dose of those meds to help you work your way down?
You are worthy, loved and valuable and have a purpose. I have been through the same situation and wondered the same thing at times" what am I doing?" I made it through the mire with God's grace and help. It wasn't easy but I'm here to tell about it.
