I'm really glad you brought up this topic. I'm working with my therapist using EMDR and I think I'll address this with her next week. It's one phobia that I can definitely live without. And I also agree with Wistala that PTSD can result from any traumatic experience. Trauma is trauma, period.
Hugs,
Kim :)
I'm NOT being nasty. Please refrain from posting if you don't want feedback from EVERYONE. This is a PUBLIC board and I'm not here to coddle people.
Just focus on you and your own recovery, don't let others get you down. Some people just have a lot of negative energy surrounding them because they haven't had the chance to recover from their own traumas. 99.9% of the people here truly care about you and use this site for supporting others, not for making them feel bad or stupid for posting a question. Whether you have true PTSD or not, coming here and asking for help and support is a major accomplishment. Kudos for not holding all this in and thinking you can just deal with it yourself.
One times i was given so many qualudes that i alomost died woke up on life support.
I have PTSD for what was done to me while i was drugged but not for the drugs alone, not even the life support or amost dying.
Sorry can't say i relate, but feeling drugged is horrible.
