Week one of my marital separation is behind me. I did not do anything concrete this week. I figure transitioning was enough for this week. Just getting used to bus schedules and putting together strategies for job hunting. It has been 18 years since my last career position, so I am especially anxious about the job hunt.
Hard-core wanderer that I am, the part of being on my own is not too troublesome. For now, I have the house and my husband is staying in a room in a crash pad. I am confident I will be able to hand the house over to him before the end of July. To me, the house just feels like an enabler trap.
No question here. Just looking for a reality check. It is all to easy to play the fool during transition phases.

I haven't written in my diary on my computer since May because I thought that my computer was dying. I got away from writing but my computer is hanging in there. I think that I will start writing in it again. It's so therapeutic.

First, I hope everyone is doing well, and continuing to fight that good fight! Keep up the great work on yourselves; I'm rooting for all of you!So, I started doing therapy at the beginning of the year, when I was in my most depressed state, but with my therapist, I made big changes and steps in the right direction. But, over a month ago, she couldn't take my insurance anymore, and I had to stop...
Best of luck.

From my side, my faithful heart does not have the power to still my wandering soul. The husband is a homebody, work-a-holic nature and all. My apartment will only be a launch pad to my field work. I am pretty determined to find a way back to my mid-continental hydrology research. I want my next privately owned vehicle to be a trawler. Only need a quarter million or so greenbacks to buy it. How many burgers will I have to flip for that stake?
Hey, an old gal's gotta have her dreams...
I have long thought that marriage is really mostly for the kids, and the kids are grown. Good job.
might even let the sleezy geez ride on my trawler if he remembers to call me, "Captain."
How DO you do it, arfie? Still manage to be so funny at a time like this? I almost feel guilty laughing, but I figure in all honesty you've got to know. Hope we're there in support of you as much as you lift our spirits with your quips--captain!

"If we could but appreciate the daily miracles of our lives, our pain would be no less wondrous than our joy."
Where there is appreciation, there is a smile. Compassionate humor and appreciation are running buddies. One is never far from the other.
Emphasis on, "compassionate humor." Cruel humor is a flag to work my program.
