Once in a while the name of our site, "daily strength" takes on added meaning for me. Every few months in my life with PTSD it seems like I experience a cycle of exhaustion from it.
That happened this weekend. I'm teaching summer school, which I like. Looking ahead when summer school started, I planned a weekend of rest and relaxation for myself. Going to town for a ball game and a concert.
Usually an outing like that sets me right again. This weekend it didn't. This time on Monday I'm really drained of energy in a noticeable way.
For it not to spread from my body to my mind and dampen my spirits, I decided I would ask for strength here from my daily strength friends. I know I can get through this cycle of exhaustion right now. Always do.
But I get by with a little help from my friends, as Ringo Starr said.

I could use some. I take it to heart when you all offer support. I really matters when it comes from here, believe me. There's no strength daily strength from DS PTSD. Thanks, everybody.

I'm feeling down,, and got alot on my mind right now. I got grief going on, on top my depression and anxiety and now I got to worry about somewhere to live since I can't afford living here since my mom passed. So many bad things have happened since my mom passed. One thing after another it seems. Yesterday our fence fell from a storm that hit, had to call someone to prop it up. Thank...

I had no way of fitting in when confronting the multi-media assault. Nor when other were celebrating fatherhood. I felt it building a few weeks ago as the ads and stories increases along with my class schedule. Plans being made in conversations... I had just some what recovered from mother's day, then Boom! another hits.
Hugs

Thanks for the support, everybody!
Very often, the good stuff where I over-extend myself moves between my conscious and unconscious minds in special ways that make me think I understand why folks think altered states really do allow you to reach spiritual planes the sober state will not allow for. A natural high? Albeit, not the natural high the drug rejecting old hippies from my own childhood in the 60's tried to turn me on to.
So, or no, for you, keep on chuggin'.
But I switched back to my old med Glipizide this morning, though, it settled down and I didn't miss work.
It's good I figured out it was low blood sugar and not depression from PTSD. I have trouble telling the difference a lot of the time. Thanks for your support while I figured it out!! :-) I didn't miss work--that makes over 2 years now without taking a sick day. Thanks!!
