I spent the week "supervising" a father/child reunion for my youngest son and grandchildren. Certainty comes hard in these matters, but I think healing happened for the father/child bond. Yesterday the children were handed off to the other grandparents with whom Hubs and I share protective custody. The formal dinner plans felt like more work than they were worth, and T-day brought some magnificent weather to our neighborhood, so we had drive through meals in the park where we "chased turkeys on Turkey Day."

My stress aches haven't reached my head so far, but my gut is killing me.

I had a great Thanksgiving, too, at a coworker's house with his family. My coworker and his wife are preparing to adopt a son, so after dinner there was a lot of good shared conversation about their happiness on the horizon.

Me now I'm having big headaches and lots of ringing in my ears. Wonder what that's about. Hope you headaches subside as well as your stomach upset.
