Ever since my childhood I've had I'll health or problems. I was born in 74 an 8 week premature baby. Sadly I've been left with a variety of congenital defects or problems. My bladder never developed beyond childhood and my lungs have always caused problems. Being diagnosed with endometriosis at 21 hasnt helped either. But this past year has been just the worst. I collapsed last summer at the British grand Prix and my life was saved by the quick actions of Silverstone medical centre and the on site helicopter that flew me to Northampton general hospital. I stayed unconscious throughout all of this and eventually came round in intensive care 10 days later to be told i had double pneumonia and my family had been told that I was unlikely to come round. That was in July. 4 weeks later, having been transferred home to Cornwall, my lungs collapsed again and I still had pneumonia in one lung. 2 weeks later I was rushed into hospital again vomiting what we thought was blood. This turned out to be bowel contents as my large bowel had ruptured. They spent 14 hours in theatre saving my life but I had pneumonia yet again after vomiting bowel contents into my lungs whilst unconscious. I was once again on life support for 3 weeks for the second time in 2 months. Shortly after discharge my doc diagnosed me with PTSD. Today I was told I'm in heart failure and the prognosis doesn't consider I will live much longer than 5 to 10 years maximum. I'm bereft and have no idea where to turn or what to do. I'm only 41 years old. I can't stop crying and I don't know how much more I can take. Too add to the already depressing news, I've also been diagnosed with ulcerative colitis and it's the worst pain I've ever felt in my life. What do I do now? I'm lost and feel so alone.

89FNo energy, just going to do whatever. Sandra, It's hard to move at a certain time in life. You've been in your home forever, at least you'll be able to travel to the beach and enjoy. Oh, we did hear Boris Johnson's tenure ended due to a series of ethics scandals, accusations of dishonesty and a final collapse of government support that forced his recognation. My cat is going on trial for crimes against skink-anity. SIX in six weeks. Three this last week alone. The crack is maybe 1/4 inche wide. Maybe. Skink skitters past, her paw shoots out, her claw hooks in, she yanks, and somehow, having defied physics... WHAM. Skink-o-rama.Now, don't get me wrong, it's nice that she's a pesticidal maniac, but OMG. Skinks do no harm. They don't come inside. WTF.So,...

You are in grief for you and your could-have-beens, but please, do not forget what you have and still have... And now you have us.
Also.... Apparently, even more cats than me, and that takes true talent, LOL! i am a feral cat magnet. Homeless or neglected or feral, they always find me.
As for fear... I am at high risk for a rare complication of epilepsy, which killed my older sister. Every night for the first few years, I was scared I would not wake up. Proper self care and adapting to the medical crapola was crucial, but also just making the fear part of my bedtime routine... "Brushed teeth? yes. Washed face? yes. Had a good life overall? yes. Taking no regrets or grudges? No. Remembering love? yes...." Sounds absurd and Pollyanna, but after my sister died, it was what I came to. I still cry and feel scared, but it is okay. So cry it out. Better than bottling it up.
