I seem to have caused some confusion with my use of "I.F." as an abbreviation for "Idiot Factor." Nothing ugly, but enough that I thought it might be worth a post.
I have a habit of treating life like a complex equation. I am not a mathematician, but I know enough math and physics to know that the more complex the equation, the greater the margin for error. In the Arfian dialect, that margin for error is the "I.F."
Or am I simply lost in metaphor --- AGAIN!
I am definitely on the manic edge these days...

I haven't written in my diary on my computer since May because I thought that my computer was dying. I got away from writing but my computer is hanging in there. I think that I will start writing in it again. It's so therapeutic.

First, I hope everyone is doing well, and continuing to fight that good fight! Keep up the great work on yourselves; I'm rooting for all of you!So, I started doing therapy at the beginning of the year, when I was in my most depressed state, but with my therapist, I made big changes and steps in the right direction. But, over a month ago, she couldn't take my insurance anymore, and I had to stop...
A) genius does not equal infallible.
B) Fear of questioning = dogma.
Paraphrasing freely here, as I so often do.
Looking over Cathryn Taylor's website and intro I received when signing up for her newsletter, and tapping through a couple of youtube videos - 7 Layers, inner child/wounded one, I see I am doing exactly that.
I emailed her as to 'why, now?' I'm all over the intro - that's exactly what I'm doing and these thoughts seem so foreign to who I was!
Her reply:
Because of your strength the wounded one finally feels safe enough to emerge. Separate and dialogue between those 2 parts. Watch my 7 layers of healing on YouTube. If u need more help consider my 3 hour package. 3 hours of sessions broken up accordingly plus a 63 page ebook and 30 days of 8-10 minute YouTube videos sent via email daily to help build on our one to one work! Take it ad far as you can yourself first tho. You are doing great. Just get the separation and respond instead of collapse! Be good to u! Cathryn :)

Could be the same stuff, dbpalm, but none of my brain parts are connecting on it.
It is interesting stuff, though. I haven't really looked at it since I "discovered" the brain plasticity research back in the late 90s. Maybe I am due.
We each are entitled to having our approaches. We all want insight so we can hopefully manage better.
I love the brain plasticity stuff. I think of the brain as being sort of like muscle tissue- we grow and atrophy the connections between neurons depending on what we are doing and even what we are thinking. So ways of thinking can become "hardwired" and alternately eventually rewired. Lots of research verifying "dendritic growth".
No harm, no foul. We all need our metaphors, and yours add clarity. You just opened the anatomy of a trigger door... we are just sharing view points.
For me the biggest issue within myself is knowing whether I'm making an error in assessing some situation or someone- if hyper-vigilance is making me negatively evaluate (translation - be paranoid) about someone elses intentions.... maybe that's an issue for another post.
But that said I have no doubts about your sincere, positive intentions here. I say Hooray for Arfie!
