It's been a year since I first came here to Daily Strength PTSD, and on my one year anniversary I just wanted to thank everybody. As most of you know, I turned to using this site daily when I could no longer take my PTSD medications daily, as I'd done for years. Kidney disease.

Turned out you not only made up for my lost option of medication. You've been friends, teachers, and spiritual fellow travelers, too. My PTSD symptoms still have to be dealt with every day, but coming here has not only helped me do that. Coming here has also helped my spiritual life and even my work life in my second year as a teacher since getting kidney disease.

I've had the best year at work, home, and even with church (which I have trouble with due to social anxiety there). It has truly been enriching. You are amazing, and what you do here day in and day out results in true healing and coping for people like me, I want you to know.

Thanks, and I look forward to a great 2nd year at DS PTSD and hope the same for each of us here.

Thanks for joining in the celebration, everybody. Yay, Kat, we're the same "age" here at DS PTSD! (We both came about a year ago.)
I do miss arfie, though.

well, that's very encouraging, muji. I'm fairly new here still. I'm glad for you that this group has been real help and that you are doing well, and that gives me hope.

arfie participated daily here for the year I've been here. But--I'm not sure if I've got the time right--about a week or two ago (?) she felt like she had to pull back and do some work on her PTSD elsewhere. Her goodbye email should still be on the site if you look back a little.

May she be well. She is a great one, and she is missed. I hope things work out so she can join us again. Arfie is not only compassionate, insightful, and very well-informed and experienced with our disorder. She is also very, very funny, too!

It is funny to me to think that you (Mujica) have been here just one year. I can't imagine you not being here.

Like I say often (but is no less sincere by saying it again) I wish none of us needed to be here, but since we do, I am glad you are here.

I love your sweet spirit of such liveliness! And I've only known you for a few months. Can't imagine life with my Muji-posts and messages. I count you as a valuable friend.
