Gero's post about how there are trolls out there in other DS sites was a good warning.

It also made me stop to appreciate how safe it's been here on DS PTSD lately. We've brought up some pretty vulnerable topics lately, and it's been safe and pretty judgment free here.

THANKS everybody. A safe refuge is hard to find when you've got PTSD, everybody here knows. And for those of us who HAVE PTSD to be the ones who create a safe oasis for ourselves? Well, that's a miracle of our own making, and I'm proud and grateful.

I will have to agree, I am glad that it has been 99% perfect here. To have a group of people that are all about helping each other makes my heart sing. There are so many great and caring hearts here. Like Jewells said about tying a rope around her waist on days we need anchored down, there are no others that I would rather be tied with me than the ones I have met here.

THREE CHEERS TO THIS GROUP! WOOO HOOO!!!!

It's my safest PTSD spot outside my own home and my therapist, and that says a LOT for me.....

We're like mountain climbers, we're roped together so if one falls, the rest of us are here to help them hold until they regain their footing.... or something....

Thank you for the nod to the rope of support Gero. With that I am climbing mountains I could never have before alone. I am so much stronger now than before. I also smile when those here also make the strides and hurdle the crevasse's of their own journey.

Yes, I know I am safe here. When we have not been, the very few times, we have taken action. This is OUR place, our haven. Thank you, Muji friend. I haven't thought lately about how safe I feel here. I did in the beginning, then some things happened, but that was a while ago. Now we're feeling this safety here; I feel this safety here that I feel nowhere else.

Agreed, the people in this group really know what they are talking about.

I hate fake people and I see many of them every day, grown children that are walking around, complaining about stupid things.

Here people are making sense and I like that, especially the non judgmental part because many people that have been abused will see judgmental people all the time.

Yay, mis amigos. Gracias. I'm dog tired, like everybody else here. But coming here to put my burden down with everybody else that needs to take a load off, too, is extra special in my life.
