Monday morn... Time to get back to the work step...
Since I gave voice to the notion that my new apartment (6 weeks now) is growing into a graphics studio, I have been having hard flashbacks to my engineering graphics business. On the official IRS documentation, it ran from 1984 to 1992.
In my heart it was nothing more than one crazy mother's wish to support her children and raise them, too. I HATED leaving my children in day care. My second baby was born in 1984 and I just couldn't do it any more. Especially not my brand new infant. My mule stubbornness set its heels until 1992 when tendon seizures joined the nay-saying they who preached separation of family and business. My husband and in-laws being the most influential of the preachers, but far from the only. Separation of family and business was an unofficial anthem of the 20th century. My computer graphics talents were enough to buy flexibility from the most rigid of corporate execs. In 1984 the ability to draw a digital line was not common enough for a specialized degree plan. In 1992 I gave up the stubbornness and got a real job in the construction field where not even family phone calls were possible.
Just processing the flashbacks...

I haven't written in my diary on my computer since May because I thought that my computer was dying. I got away from writing but my computer is hanging in there. I think that I will start writing in it again. It's so therapeutic.

First, I hope everyone is doing well, and continuing to fight that good fight! Keep up the great work on yourselves; I'm rooting for all of you!So, I started doing therapy at the beginning of the year, when I was in my most depressed state, but with my therapist, I made big changes and steps in the right direction. But, over a month ago, she couldn't take my insurance anymore, and I had to stop...
This is a different world now Arfie, many do consultations with out ever meeting the consultant. Designs can be passed and paidfor with the click of a button. Especially with women, in areas formally"men" only. A user name and company does not have to have a gender, since it is only knowledge and skill behind the screen that is judged.
Go for it Arfie!, the cyber world was created for us in some aspects. Freedom to wok in your jammies and slippers but getting paid for your brain work. The same as the Man in the tie and suit shaking hands and presenting designs in a board room.
Dream big!
