Support for Charleston shooting families

It's good that here at DS PTSD we respect our broad range of political and religious beliefs and don't try to convert one another. So this post is presented in that spirit. It's just that the news today says that a gunman entered a church in Charleston, SC on Wed. night's bible study and shot and killed 9 people.
It was awful news to me like all shootings are, but something about its happening in what is supposed to be a safe space for the soul struck an extra chord for me and my PTSD.
I'm just holding the traumatized families of those shot in Charleston in my thoughts today and thought others here might be, too. As of this moment they haven't caught the killer yet, so I hope there's no more violence in the manhunt following.

Due to my increased paranoia, anxiety, and a panic attack over the weekend, my psychiatrist has put me back in a full dose of Zyprexa until further notice. Every time I think I'm getting ahead something happens and it's back to square one. I knew he was gonna do this but I can't help feeling disappointed. It is what it is.

My friend had just visited me here in the USA four months before he was shot in the face and killed with 5 other ministers on the grounds of his church.
Since there aren't words, this editorial cartoon says it all, I think, a cartoon from the Indianapolis newspaper this weekend. It actually brought a tear to my eye. I'm grateful for its message.

When I looked at the alleged shooter at his bail hearing he looks like a baby...sigh... Very sad
There's a really good film.. History American X... It wouldn't be for everyone.. It's violent and a lot of swearing however it shows how young people become a part of some of these groups and quite often where the hate comes from in the first place... It's a good film for understanding the hate and I think it's an important thing to understand in order to make progress in quashing it
We prayed for them at my church this Sunday, and when our minister read the names aloud, many of us were crying. It's really something when you hear their names; it makes it real rather than a distant news story. It reinforces that they were people with families and loved ones.
I'd like to add a prayer for humanity, that we move towards love as a race rather than hatred and violence.
And Muji, I am sorry to hear you lost a friend this way, too. Blessings to you.
