Hi,
I have not been on but only to comment and get off. A lot has been happening. From summer started I have been attending virtual camp and it is so cool. The camp is from M-F and at times I am exhausted and do not feel well. The good thing about this type of camp, I can lay down and still long on and be at camp. My favorite event at camp is "Acting" and I look forward to each week.
This past week we had color challenge and completion. The cabin that I am in earned 100 point because I put together a poem that each cabin campers came in and presented it in completion and I could not believe because no other cabin had gained 100 points since we started to earn points.
The sad part of summer is as some of you know. I lost my therapist and camp was used to replace the pain that I was feeling ( My case manager advocate for me to attend camp for these reasons). I still had times of crying BUT because of camp, it was cut short. I found a new therapist BUT do no want to see her even though I schedule a conference video/call this coming week.
I also have gotten my new insurance (Medicare and Medicaid) and if it was not for my case manager I would be totally lost. My other case manager really does not care (she is with the old insurance) therefore the case manager who is helping me is grant-funded and she too has a lot of clients BUT love her job and love helping people. I think I am blessed.
I had to see a new PCP and was told that I would be the only one in the office minis staff which was not true and it was nerve-racking because I have not been out of my home from March. My nurse has not come and see me either because of this virus. The good thing is that I had had visitors the last month and a half BUT we all wore masks. The only sad thing is that my church has caught the virus BUT thank God no one died apart from my friend in May ( she was like me and went to the hospital).
I know that I do not come on much BUT I wanted to share with you all what and why I am missing most times. BUT I think about you guys. I have been going to bed early sometimes and late somethings. Camping has turned my life upside down and I am off in so many ways. BUT would not survive this summer been alone and losing my therapist therefore I am thankful for camp. I have two more weeks minis this week left at camp.
I have other things going on BUT wanted to highlight a few. I finally stop receiving birthday gifts therefore my birthday is officially ended. I miss you all.
Virtual camp sounds so interesting. You said your favorite part is acting. Do you each act out a part? Your case manager sounds very caring. Like Thor, I wish I had one too. I can’t complain I have a medical social worker for support. I am so happy that you have medical insurance and a new therapist. You won’t know if you like her until you meet, so why not give it a try? Happy Birthday! Secouya, I have a medical case manager but she doesn't really cares about me. But my other case manager she is really cool. Yes, we each do acting something we do different things. We only do voices because some of us have challenges. My case manager for autism we video Chat every two weeks. With the new insurance I am suppose to get a social worker and still waiting. Thanks, Secouya. Me too camp is cool.
I never knew that not all case manager doesn't relate to insurance but the one who is so cool she is grant funded. Remember I have multiple issues going on and have 13 medical provider. It has been a difficult journey but I count my blessings it could have been worse.
The last two years I have not been getting Help but things has and is changing and I am grateful.
