Structure and Procrastination

I have been crazy busy at work for the past 2 or 3 months plus have worsening sleep apnea which left me exhausted and with muscle aches. Last week I managed to put my back out.
I now have a CPAP machine so I am sleeping well. Body aches are gone and I am pretty much caught up at work ( at least I am not drowning anymore) plus back is on the mend.
Today is the first day of my vacation...actually a "stay-cation" , if you will. Here lies the problem:
I thrive on structure. Weekends are generally hell for me. I have a list of things I NEED to do as well as things I WANT to do. My problem is I can't get my arse moving. It is almost like I don't want to step outside of my head. The things I want to do are really things I Want to do yet I don't do them. I will end up on petfinders looking at all 10.000 pics of doggies and not be able to stop myself. I will go to Ebay and do endless searches for various items. I will play video games for hours. All of these activities will be broken up my feelings of shame and guilt mixed in with tears.
Has anyone else experienced this and if so have you been able to break the cycle?

I did the dumbest thing today. I charged my earbuds, unplugged the block and put the block in my little bag instead of the earbuds. I wasn't happy about that when I got to the gym. What a dummy!

Ever since I stopped doing therapy because of insurance, I've been feeling that old tense and irritable sense of anxiety and stress. I hate that. I was making so many strides and changes during therapy, my therapist would acknowledge all of my progress and accomplishments, and I miss that reassurance. Today I thought about it, and I made those changes! She would always tell me that I chose to...
It may help to set your week end like a work day, with a schedule, on the wall.
But mindless wandering and other easy activities, do have their place in helping to release the week's stress.
Actually this post made me do my work. Thank you Cecil.
Seems to me you ARE breaking the cycle by resting and doing what you bloody well feel like.
Enjoy.
Not that Ive wasted time surfing on the Internet myself and seen it or anything. Not me.
Happy stay-cation, Cecil, whatever you do or don`t accomplish.
Glad the CPAP works for you. I went through all the steps to get one. Then when I got it, I felt like I was hooked up to a jet airplanes engine. The CPAP noise itself was worse that the apnea for me. Ha! Enjoy your good sleep.
I am on Day 2 of rearranging my my apartment which included tearing down a 29 gallon aquarium just so I could move it. Luckily I only have one fish living in it at the moment.
