Still no reply to tenure PTSD plan

Hard to believe, but the promised April 12th email from the tenure committee still hasn't arrived. Unbelievable. The stress from this wait since I sent them my PTSD plan on March 24 was intense already when they're deadline was announced to be April 10th. Now that they gave themselves an extension until April 12th they still haven't met that deadline, either, with more stress. Everybody else out there does know that the S in PTSD does stand for stress, right? So not a good idea to add more stress, right?

I'm sorry they still havnt met their deadline, it's understandable ur stressed right now. Big hugs.

It's a half hour from the end of the working day. I've taught all of my classes for the day, and still no word.

Funny, my 2pm class was really good. Not talking about me, talking about how the whole class got in a good deep discussion about today's topic. But then I'm not "good enough" to get tenure, huh?

Irony abounds. I would appreciate it if they would communicate like they said they would. This is unnecessary stress.

Keep us posted, stay in touch with us, okay? And if you have a lawyer or two whoc an call them... Make it clear that their delay could be seen poorly.

A friend here on DS PTSD advised me not to contact them even though they are being way delinquent on their own deadlines. They said the reason was that in my PTSD plan I basically said, "yes, I have an anxiety disorder, but I can control it."

So whatever happens now, I have to prove I can control it.

That's the approach I'm taking. Do you agree?

I agree. Also, it doesn't surprise me they haven't contacted you yet. They said April 12 which means they have until 11:59 p.m. on April 12. It's not nice, but that may be how they see it.

Muji, I agree, it stinks, but it may be they are waiting to see your reaction to the stress....again it stinks...who wouldn't be anxious?? Geez!! Prayers and Support...and an Aarrgghh Yell !!!!

I hope they would not do that, but they haven't been playing fair ball either so it would not surprise me

Very stressful for you, I think you are doing a fantastic job though
