In response to some of the pain expressed by us on DS PTSD these days, I figured I would fess up to something that helps me a little with mine. I keep my guitar handy by my couch, and when PTSD overwhelms me, I play this song on the guitar and sing along.
Of course, there's therapy and support group and reading recommended books on PTSD and meditation and prayer, and hanging in there when you just want it to end. All of those things, too. I'm not saying this little pop song saves me. I'm just saying that for me, whatever works is appreciated, and playing this little song is a little something for me. Hope it helps someone else a little with panic and pain, too. The lines "I can't hold out forever/even walls all down" are special to me. They helped me get to acceptance when I had to be hospitalized during my loss of a job and my divorce back in 2000 and I had a lot of shame about it all.

I know why , and im not ready to share just yet.
I just wanted to say thank you for posting it. The more I go there the easier the pain can begin to heal for me.

I watched that scene from A Few Good Men a few times last night, and didn't get upset,,
That definitely is a sign of the healing of PTSD.
