Tomorrow I have my 6 month kidney doc appointment to see how my 60% kidney damage from Seroquel for PTSD is faring. Sometimes it seems this stuff never ends--going from chronic PTSD to chronic kidney disease and nerve damage from it just from taking Seroquel a doctor prescribed, and on and on and on. Hope I have a good report tomorrow. Geez.
So sick of doctors, really, nothing personal, but last week I went to my psychiatrist and this week I go to my kidney doctor to figure out how to live with the damage my psychiatrist's prescription did. And round and round the merry go round goes and where it stops nobody knows..
Sigh.

Once again I've had a fever today. I'm not going to the hospital because that's a huge waste of time but I did schedule a dr appointment for Wednesday afternoon.

Life on the roulette wheel, eh? take another spin, see if the house wins again?
Paw-bump.
Prayers, lit candles!
Praying.
But Muji I am praying that you have a good doctor visit.
I hope your appointment goes okay today
Sending lots of support
Gentlest of hugs <3
I take Dilantin too. I seen a neurologist for my siezures. He told me about another medication they give for siezures. He said if I took that medication, I would not have side effects that is harmful and it would control my sciezures better. I told him no because I did not believe it to be true, I did not want to start anything new and have problems with that too, I have enough mess going on in this brain of mine no more.
I'm hoping you get good news today and that your function continues to remain stable. Wishing you well!
Great, right? On to yesterday, Monday: I went back to starting live streaming classes again only this time my technical problem was having no audio. It wasn’t my fault, of course, but my new students don’t know me yet and they don’t know that. So by the time today’s kidney doc appointment came around, I wasn’t just sick of doctors as my thread’s title says. By today, Tuesday, I was kind of sick of everything.
I had a GOOD REPORT, though, so thanks for your prayers, your support, your validation, for sharing your experiences. The drive to the appointment was rough. It was foggy and so icy that I saw two wrecks on the way from cars just spinning out, The ride back was just as bad.
But my time with this doctor was the best chat I’ve had with anyone all of this pandemic year. It wasn’t my usual doctor, which scared me at first. But this new doc Courtney B., was an ANGEL. She took care of business at 9:30am sharp and let me know that my blood work showed I was still ok to avoid kidney dialysis, which was my main worry. Then from 9:30am to ELEVEN (!) we talked about all of the above in the nasty week I’ve had. From talking about the week’s challenges, we went on to chat about my how my retirement to Mexico in July I’ve planned for 5 years is uncertain because of pandemic border closings. I mean, Dr Courtney B just stayed and stayed with me until I realized she’s an even better listener than my psychiatrist I’ve had for 10 years now. I told her so, too, and thanked her a ton.
Getting to vent here first about how I was going into this appointment sick of it all really helped set this up to happen for me, y’all. That’s how DS support really works its magic for me. Thanks for replying to my being fed up so I could just be open about it to this new doctor and give her the chance to be such an angel today.
THANK YOU ALL!!!
Now off to plan some kind of tech failure proof lesson plan to live stream tomorrow morning—another miracle.
Yay you... This is all of your hard work..... Big squishy hug....xo
