In what ways do you struggle with it?
I feel sorry for straight guys... LOL, they suffer much... In my experience.
easy short question, that can get very complicated in the answering,, which was probably why it was phrased that way.
but I'm not into thinking about my pain right now. nope.. I'm staying on the surface of things for today... I know everybody struggles, but am not going to wade in that water today. maybe tomorrow.
guess that means I just disqualified my self from this thread for now?
I'm just horny and nothing to do about it at the moment.. maybe that's struggle enough for me for now. :P
since i severed my achilles, i can't even rub one out, in case i tense up and snap it again. it was actually a blessing in disguise.
Something happened to 'horny' after a year or so...it kind of started visiting less frequently and with less intensity. Thank GOD! :)
Wondering about sexuality if you're molested is natural, especially if it was before puberty and then your family is homophobic and both parents are violent toward you to "make you a man" at puberty. My mother was especially concerned that a male pedophile's sexual assault when I was 10 had made me gay, as if I'd been bitten by a vampire and would become a vampire now, too. So she felt I should be beaten regularly, either by her own hand or by having my father administer savage beatings.
The odd thing is that when I grew up, I thought my questions about sexuality stemmed from my home experiences which were so extreme. Not so in my experience. I found along the way that people with "normal" upbringings very different from mine had quite a number of questions and insecurities about sexuality. I found people who became sex addicts and who became unable to maintain faithful relationships when, despite my own traumas as a child around sex, I was very fortunate in those areas and enjoyed full, monogamous, long-term relationships.
I am now celibate in my old age, but really because I have stage 3 kidney disease and diabetes, and the physical challenges are there for me. But as much as I respect how wounded we can be as survivors with PTSD in this area, I am grateful that it hasn't been a lifelong impediment to me. It can be, but it's not a life sentence. There's hope for us in all areas, even if there's no cure, just speaking from my own individual experience.

Maybe it's my age and my life experience, but I'm not sure I would care about labeling my sexuality. I am who I am.
