I took it for a while (seroquel). It helped with my anxiety but it didn't really help with sleep or nighttime panic attacks. I switched to trazodone after 8 months and it helps me a lot more. I have panic attacks when I try to sleep and it keeps me from having them.

Hi Sean, I was on seroquel 100mg for sleep and anxiety. It worked for a short time and then I started to have some really bizzare nightmares. So they upped the dose, which caused a lot of strong palpitations and weight gain. They switched me to Trazodone and that work better. Trazodone is worthless as an antidepressant, but seems to help greatly with sleep.

What I liked about Trazodone is that after awhile I could start skipping a dose and use it only for those nights when I felt I would need it. I still use it as needed.

I'm not a big fan of Seroquel, but I know other people who swear by it, I hope you find something that works for you.

Take the Lexapro 10mg, which I was switch to from Zoloft 100mg. The Zoloft worked at first, the side effects were awful, drowzines, sexual and dry mouth. Plus after a couple weeks it stopped working. This is my new drug, it make you feel wired up, good for those who are depressed, but bad for those dealing with anxiety by OCD activities like myself. Seems to me they play a dart game and hope they get it right with our medication.

Ahh Zoloft..the preferred drug of zombies everywhere! Zombification may or may not affect everyone. It did me though. I was on it for awhile, and didn't give a rats batootie about anything..and I do mean anything! The house could have burned down around me and it would have been "all good"..lol..I took myself off of it.
I haven't taken seroquel, but my husbands uncle who is bi-polar schizo affective/effective (not sure of spelling) takes it at night, and if he don't go to bed pretty soon after, he starts to slurr in his words like he's drunk. I can't remember his dose he takes but i know it's kinda high IMHO (that was my first thought when he first told me anyhows).
I used trazadone for awhile, but I started having weird reactions/symptoms so my PCP took me off of it.

Oh and just to make sure..I wasn't busting on anyone who takes Zoloft or zoloft itself really...My auntie is on it and does quite well, without zombie type side effects.That's just the way it made me feel and was the first thing to pop into my head when I saw its name..lol

Took it twice and told the doc 'No more" I was a zombie. Sleepy.
