Rungs pulled out from underneath me

I feel like I was climbing the ladder or at least attempting to and now the rungs got pulled out from underneath of me, and I'm left desperately cleaning to the outside edges trying not to fall to the very bottom and go splat. And right now though I really wish that I could go splat. Forever. Because I feel like nothing is ever going to get better. I feel like any hope I had of ever getting past my trauma issues has been taken away from me forever. The trauma Treatment Center that had accepted me decided after 4 months of tedious and arduous waiting, that now they're not going to allow me to come. Bottom line I'm not a good fit anymore because now they know of all of my extensive past hospitalizations and behaviors in the hospitals and so they say I'm too sick for them. I'm so sick of places expecting me to fix myself before they're willing to help me. I honestly feel defective again because it seems like Everywhere I Go, hospitals and doctors say we don't know what to do we don't know how to help you. If they don't know how to help me, how am I ever supposed to get help? How am I ever supposed to get better? Why should I even continue trying if they have no hope for me? I am so miserable and I really just want to end it all. I'm trying to hang in until Monday when I see my psychiatrist and convinced him to let me be in inpatient in a regular psych Hospital. I hate that regular psych hospitals never went to touch the trauma issue but at least I'd be safe and I wouldn't have to take care of myself. I need a break from my life from reality from responsibility from living. I need someone else to take care of me for once in my life. I mentioned to a friend the other day that I never had a mommy. Sure I had a mother , and I was expected to take care of her from the time I was four. I have no idea what it's like to have someone take care of me and I'm 43 now. I've taken care of others my entire life while I took care of myself as well. I need a break. I'm so exhausted. I'm trying to endure and I'm really beginning to wonder what is the point. If no one has any hope for me or thinks that they're ever going to be able to help me why should I keep trying?

Once again I've had a fever today. I'm not going to the hospital because that's a huge waste of time but I did schedule a dr appointment for Wednesday afternoon.

When I first joined DS, the virtual hugs used to make me cry. Sounds silly, but it was so much more than I'd ever gotten before. Someone would send a link to a song, and I'd play it over and over. Small things, but it used to give me hope.
I hope that you get a chance to sleep, then maybe the exhaustion will be a bit less.
Healing hugs, Patti
The trauma program may recognize that right now might be too hard for you to work on it on an outpatient basis.... that doesn't mean at another time when you're feeling stable they can't help you
Another hug and a blessing.....xo
I've lost my footing in marriage, in a guaranteed teaching job with tenure once (that was a shocker that taught me NOTHING is guaranteed in life at all, huh?), in health (how I ended up on a cane), lots of rungs went out from under me at different times in life. If you come to that with PTSD to begin with , ouch! No way we can handle that alone.
Glad we don't have to. You're not alone here. It's great you found us. Thanks for reminding me of all those rungs gone and yet that I'm still here. Sending you my support today!
