You did it. Your help paid off. My student who has cancer called from her hospital room this morning before she went for surgery. I got over to the hospital and intercepted, gave her flowers and reassurance. Then I hoped to find the hospital's chaplain. I know him because I used to be a hospital chaplain years ago myself.
Didn't have to look for him. I took a bathroom break in the restroom and, lo and behold, there he was. This is a big medical center, and I happened to use the same bathroom he did? Wow. Another one of those coincidences. So I got to give him the referral to see her after she got out of surgery this afternoon.
Then I got my boss, who is a good person but slippery sometimes, to help me arrange for my student not to lose all of her work so far in the semester in the class she takes with me. I got my boss to agree to a special arrangement whereby my student will get to finish the course with me via online while she continues her cancer treatment from now until Christmas break. My student really wanted that. I'm so glad to get that piece done.
Thanks for helping me help her. I tell you, having PTSD is a BEAR, but when it comes to moments like this I think it helps us know better what to do.

I haven't written in my diary on my computer since May because I thought that my computer was dying. I got away from writing but my computer is hanging in there. I think that I will start writing in it again. It's so therapeutic.

First, I hope everyone is doing well, and continuing to fight that good fight! Keep up the great work on yourselves; I'm rooting for all of you!So, I started doing therapy at the beginning of the year, when I was in my most depressed state, but with my therapist, I made big changes and steps in the right direction. But, over a month ago, she couldn't take my insurance anymore, and I had to stop...
If so, I am glad to see it works better here.
Arfie, from what I can see merely mentioning his Reagan's name brings blessings according to the democratic and republican cult lovers. He must of been a great god.
I subscribe to the older theories of yin - yang. Everything in the universe has its equal opposite.
Reganomics and Obamacare are political yin-yang in Arfworld.
Ah... For the love of balance...
Wow! How inspiring!!!
