I,become an observer of me ... I use no,judgmental language but instead I am descriptive of all I,see .. Then I comfort the me I,am observing... With words I,know,I'd want to hear... Love, validation , calmness and hopeful, thoughts ... Often I have diffused severe anxiety attacks by stepping back, and analyzing what the heck, set that off? I guess it stops, the attack and helps,me discover the trigger ...
In the end tho... I,rely on prayer. As lovely and as amazing as my therapist is... My Heavenly Papa is,the best medication for me .
Blessings to,you!
Acceptance and pacing myself are the two biggest 'helps' I have found. When the numbness of severe PTSD first hit it was so completely 'strange' it took time before I understood what it was and the protection this numbness provides to allow for needed rest and to allow me to 'catch up' with my situation as it changes over time.
((hugs)) shared with everyone.
Pace is a big tip for me.
I had to thank each of you for sharing.I need these tips, at this time in my life as I face some confronting events that led to my PTSD.
I cried as I read all of your posts, I'm not alone in any of my feelings. I'm not mad. As I read them the panic set in. I had to stop awhile and medicate as I read further posts. Today was a break through, but it was this particular post that helped me start.
I humbly thank each and every one of you brave Souls. You have no idea the impact your sharing and writing made on the course of a fellow Human being today. Bless you one and all.
You wrote: " cried as I read all of your posts, I'm not alone in any of my feelings." Absolutely. This is one place we with PTSD are finally not alone.
Keep coming back.
