The manic phase seems to be passing. Seems. It sure would be nice if The Powers That Be would assign an angel in a checkered shirt to wave the flag when I pass the finish line. As it is, I seldom confident I know when the episodes begin or end. My most confident moments for that self-diagnosis resulted in fashionable jackets with clever little behind the back ties on the sleeves.
But. . . The morning has been calm. I was able to stay calm and supportive while hubs updated me on evolutions in his father's drama. I am more or less staying on track finishing up the projects I started yesterday while I was in manic mode. "More or less" is good enough for me. None of them are urgent and I am feeling some manic crash. Rest is good.
Just an update. Thanks for the support.

I haven't written in my diary on my computer since May because I thought that my computer was dying. I got away from writing but my computer is hanging in there. I think that I will start writing in it again. It's so therapeutic.

First, I hope everyone is doing well, and continuing to fight that good fight! Keep up the great work on yourselves; I'm rooting for all of you!So, I started doing therapy at the beginning of the year, when I was in my most depressed state, but with my therapist, I made big changes and steps in the right direction. But, over a month ago, she couldn't take my insurance anymore, and I had to stop...
Seems to me that giving myself recovery time after a manic episode heads off the depression. Kinda like a day of rest after a bout of flu can prevent another virus from invading a weakened immune system? With my hyper metabolism, mania is harder on the physical being than the emotional state. I used to just keep pushing myself (psychotic mania?) until I physically collapsed. "Depression" is as good a name for it as any.
Oops! Am I lost in metaphor again? That happens allot when I am manicky. . .
Thanks guys.
