This morning finds me anxious over feelings of euphoria. Every single one of my meanest psychotic breaks has been preceeded by feelings of euphoria which have given me huge fears of success. The higher I am, the further I have to fall. . . That gets especially gnarly when I later discover that some of the accomplishments of my euphoria would have been better unaccomplished. "Doncha just love the artwork I left on that bridge, Officer? It's a culturally pertinent statement!"
Yesterday clicked beautifully after the phone call with Hubs. The biggest glitch in moving the base camp was the Lunar Eclipse on the 21st. This is one of the few areas in North America where a decent view of the eclipse will be available. Most of the rooms in this region are booked solid for the event, all the way to rooms in local homes which have been made available for it. I have been partially resolved to sleeping in the truck that night, if I sleep at all. We will only get a few minutes of cosmic display. Sounds like some great party potentials afloat. . .
I spotted a place on my way to the support group meeting last night. When I looked it up on the internet, it said it was closed. But I just did a drive-by. Looked open to me. . . I just got back from checking it out. The lady I talked to was on her way to an appointment, so we didn't do the paperwork, but she promised to hold the second to the last room she had available for me. We are going to meet up at 11:00 to make it official. Coincides with check-out time here.
I was thrilled enough to trigger the euphoria nag flag. Saluting. . . Reality checks welcome. I think I am on a solid track, but. . . I thought so when the Officer was tightening the handcuffs, too.

I haven't written in my diary on my computer since May because I thought that my computer was dying. I got away from writing but my computer is hanging in there. I think that I will start writing in it again. It's so therapeutic.

First, I hope everyone is doing well, and continuing to fight that good fight! Keep up the great work on yourselves; I'm rooting for all of you!So, I started doing therapy at the beginning of the year, when I was in my most depressed state, but with my therapist, I made big changes and steps in the right direction. But, over a month ago, she couldn't take my insurance anymore, and I had to stop...
(((Hugs)))
The move went through as hoped. I have plans to catch the Solstice party but am pleased it doesn't HAVE to be an all night affair, though I'm leaving the option open.
The euphoria seems to have passed okay. I sometimes think of my psych symptoms as insects. Get the buggers early and the infestation is headed off at the pass. An ounce of prevention?
As you say, it is amazing how comparable bp and PTSD symptoms can be. Although the cause being so, so different, I have to admit to some envy concerning how bp has specific medications that work wonderfully to curb symptoms significantly, whereas PTSD really doesn't. PTSD just has meds that treat the symptoms, like Xanax or Ativan, or even Prazosin. BP meds, though, go closer to the cause. I dream of the day PTSD brain studies finally can pinpoint the trauma in our brains to medicate it as well. While I was on bp meds "just in case" it became obvious that my symptoms came from PTSD, not bp, as bp meds didn't affect them at all. What a shame; I had my hopes up.
Congrats on the great karma that got you that room! I'm looking forward to hearing about your solstice party. Down in Mexico in Mayan country last month, I talked to a lot of people about the Mayan calendar and their view of the moon and the stars.
Support & gentle hugs <3
