Either way, bring all tools for coping with flashbacks with you wherever you go.
Make sure you have a recovery action plan in place for crises.
Congratulations for getting back to work!
I taught and had to appear as if nothing was wrong during my initial acquisition of PTSD. I like most people, so being with people helped bring me out of myself, which made me feel better. I also had an office so I could be alone at times. But triggering would occur more if I let myself get physically worn down. I also had a note from my doctor on file w/ HR excusing me from a couple things that always triggered me. I arranged alternate work assignments to keep workload the same. But this was also at a place where I had a longstanding pre-PTSD employment record, so I felt strong about asserting my need for accommodation. At a new work site it might be more stigmatizing to do this.
My thought is to try and choose a type of work environment which is less likely to trigger you personally and also try to get LOTS of rest, good nutrition, and some exercise. By taking really good care of yourself you may reduce the likelihood of having severe triggers and flashbacks at work. Good sleep will really help.
