my little ship of fools has been drawn into the wake of the current border crisis. details too politically sensitive for sharing, but this political clash feels even uglier than the covidic crisis we faced in 2020. having my 3 orphans caught in the midst of this crisis is tearing me asunder.
i could use some moral support in my radical acceptance of these yaddah blahs.
just praying. . .

a few who know me know about the jukebox between my ears which provides soundtrack for my intrusive thought loops. this episode is dancing to the tune from the cinematic classic, "oklahoma."
to the melody of "oh what a beautiful morning."
oh what a manicky morning
oh what a manicky day
i have this manicky feeling
everything will be okay
there's an ambitious politician hollerin' there
at an drunken old hippie tryin' to declare
oh what a manicky morning
oh what a manicky day
i have this manicky feeling
everything will be okay
healing hopes for all. no exceptions.
i've been singing along with whitney houston on that score

what are we teaching our babies?
music is, quite literally, my first language. i was reading and writing at college levels before i could get my tongue to behave well enough to hold a civil conversation. to this day, i can't always speak, but i can always sing. not all the critics will call THAT singing, but i consider the source with critics. holding civil conversations with critics is not very high on my sizeable wish list.
are we surprised that music therapy is quite effective in my case. the passive activity of listening is not what i call, "music therapy."
i am beginning to wonder if the songs which play in my head while i listen to people talk are significant. just wondering, but i have been following the threads of the songs i hear while listening to the various sides in this current border crisis. it is hard to tell through the strictly personal chaos of a psychotic episode, but? ? ?
thoughts? opinions? reality checks? unsolicited advice?
