PTSD Cognitive Progression Therapy
annabelleleigh1
I suffered with sexual abuse off and on for 12 years. My therapist is sending me to a PTSD specialist who uses Cognitive Progression Therapy. I begin with that in two days. I'm nervous about it, but I know that I need to do this. I've been keeping this bottled up for too many years. My husband and my children (adult children) know about it, and I talk about it, but I really haven't "dealt" with it. I'll let y'all know how that goes. I haven't posted on here in a long time, but I've had a lot going on. I'm also doing acupuncture for stress and pain. That seems to be helping, too.

Once again I've had a fever today. I'm not going to the hospital because that's a huge waste of time but I did schedule a dr appointment for Wednesday afternoon.

I have never hear of "Cognitive Progression Therapy." When I attempted to look it up, my search engine brought up, "Cognitive Processing Therapy." Same thing? I have never heard of that one either, but I'm hoping you'll share your experience with it.
I hold it as a sign of intelligence paying attention when someone gets nervous before a new endeavor. Unexpected things happen in new endeavors. It pays to pay attention.
Steadying support while you test the waters. I hope good things come of it. Welcome back.
Thank you, Simpsons. I appreciate your encouragement. Hugs <3
I hope that it goes really well Anna.....xo
