Kudos to those of you walking through life with PTSD plus (fill in the blank). I grew up in a household where this caused much turmoil. Now I deal with my own version and want to say I admire people who can speak in public about it. That's a bold, brave step!!

Thanks, y'all. It got gnarly, but not because of the wifi instability on my end that I feared. It turned out that when I logged on to Zoom a half hour before service starting time, there was a technical glitch there at the church. The tech support guys had me stand by for about 20 minutes before letting me know if we were going ahead with my guest speaker gig or not. It was suspenseful, to say the least.

Then just 10 minutes before the service start time, the technical support guys said that we could go ahead, on one condition. No music. The audio couldn't handle it for some reason. That made the church service kind of weird to me, no hymns or anything. But ahead we went.

I got my speech in without having my wifi go unstable even once, which was really wonderful. It was funny, though, how right after I was done, my wifi started to go in and out garbling communication. You'd think I'd been granted a miracle just for the extent of my speech's time on wifi.

After the service was over I stayed around to chat with folks. The nicest thing anyone said was that it was like I was there in Maryland with them instead of in Mexico, that it was as if I'd never left. That was really sweet.
