I too went through the hell of abusive partners until I found my hubby that is the total opposite of what I had been use to. Just like your hubby, mine is totally supportive and caring. We never fight, he is patient with me in all my craziness and he does nothing but build me up. My problem too is sex. For me I just don't want to do it but I feel obligated to make him happy that way. I know it's from my past abuses and he is understanding, but I just want to be normal for him and not have flash backs when he touches me.
I guess through all my rambling I'm just trying to say that there is nothing wrong with you. You had a traumatic event happen to you by being woken up by a predator, felt betrayed and demoralized by your mother and now you just want to be "normal" when the hubs feels like getting frisky in the middle of the night. Best advice is to make sure you lay some boundaries with your hubby about not waking you up that way until you can get some help to overcome your trauma. Neither of you want to become resentful of the other one because of someone else doing that to you. Talk to a therapist that does EMDR, it's the quickest and most effective way to overcome trauma. Feel free to message me anytime, I'm more than happy to chat.
