No I don't think so. If the waves of the reactions all hit or tumble over one another... who wouldn't want something they perceive as easier?
That I know is the theory for the "grass is greener on the other side of the fence..." But maybe only the distance from the grass is what makes it appear greener?
I have to tone my answers immensely where a spouse is concerned, because losing mine has caused me to think, yeah it can get worse than the disagreement at hand. I would gladly trade... To have an argument with my spouse for anything.
But that is not possible nor comparable.

But I remind myself that what appears to be is not always what is. After all, how many people at the local restaurant or bar have had ample amounts of alcohol or other illicit substances as they appear to be the life of the party.
I think envy is an ugly thing. I have read enough of your threads to know that you have the answer. We should all be happy with ourselves. And those of us with PTSD have got to just love ourselves as we are. The more we try to be what someone else wants us to be or what society wants us to be, we will be forever miserable and uncomfortable in our own skin.
