Please Support Me Thru Extended PTSD Episode

Uh-oh, y'all.   My PTSD has been percolating this week.  I had repeated flashbacks but I soldiered through each one as my PTSD therapist taught me to do and picked up where each flashback left off.  




Today it was not to be.  My PTSD got triggered, and I’ve been in an episode for 5 hours straight now.  Due to my CKD from too many PTSD meds that bad doc gave me (and boy would I like to give him a piece of my mind right now) I can’t take any Ativan or anything.  




The worst part is that it’s a PTSD episode that somehow has to do with the car bombing I survived as a kid in Uruguay’s civil war when I was nine.  I’ve had that ringing in my eyes from the blast for all five hours now.   War just isn't good for children, I must say.

I was a missionary kid overseas when this happened. I am a believer, yet I sometimes wonder when I'm going through a PTSD episode from that car bombing how it was in the DIvine Plan for a nine year old child of a minister to be put in the line of fire so as to spread the good news.

Sorry if that offends anyone here, I truly am still a believer. It's just that when I'm in this much pain decades later still, for the life of me it comes to mind sometimes as much as I wish it didn't. Support for that welcome, too.

Thanks for the support. I am so so grateful. The episdoe went on into the night, but about 2am I was able to get to sleep in spite of it. When I woke up at 8:30am the ringing in my ears was still there and my ears are still ringing even now, but at a lower more tolerable volume. It's so nice when episodes stop, or at least crank back down some, it really is. Your support is key, so gracias.

Thanks, Winter, my friend. The ringing's still there 24 hours later, but it's not as loud so I've been able to focus on other things today. Much appreciated.

    Does anyone here have a comfort item you carry with you when you go out? For example this is my doll, Annie, and I've recently been bringing her with me when I run errrands flor have an appointment. Holding her comforts me. I've bought her clothes, crocheted for her, I recently bought a personalized blanket with her name on it.  Just wondering if anyone else has a comfort item.
